I have players who, based on their ratings, have absolutely no business starting, yet are disgruntled? What are the solutions to keeping content backups?

By and large, this is just about playing time. If you can rotate them in a bit it might help. If they are bums (as you seem to suggest) then don't bother... you just won't be able to re-sign them after their contract runs out. Unless you're mad about cohesion, there's no penalty for a guy staying on the team but being unhappy about playing time.

Overall it's not a major problem, but I worry about high upside guys who will be significantly better soon, but just aren't ready for significant PT quite yet.

You might look at the position distribution on your team. For example, sometimes I'll have my top three LBs be OLBs and one of them will play MLB out of position. This tends to leave the nominal MLBs more upset than they would be otherwise. It's a silly game mechanics thing. They only refuse to sign if they pass 'unhappy' and hit 'angry.'

But other times, it's a sign that the player is actually a pretty quality guy.

This is for FOF7. Perhaps things have changed, though. Actually, I don't know if I was ever that confident there wasn't some sort of effect from having disgruntled players. It's hard to avoid sometimes.

I have one that I'm sending to Jim. A guy with in the concussion protocol for the next 10 weeks (it started at 13 weeks) is livid that he isn't playing.

I would rationalize that as PCS but that's just me.

Meaning that he would likely play above his listed OVR?

One more question, just so I'm not starting too many more topics...Has anyone created a file for any future drafts yet? I swear I saw one recently on this forum but I can't find it now. And would it be compatible with the new game?

I can't comment on how FOF8 works. In the past, if it isn't one of those position numbers quirks (i.e, your top two OGs aren't appearing on your depth chart because you have extra centers replacing them) then getting angry has been one of the soft tells of player quality. It doesn't necessarily mean he's better than his OVR, but it could be for example he's a half-developed rookie destined to be a 40/40 player, which is well within the range of he doesn't feel he should be buried. If he were 35/35, he'd probably be understanding of it. That sort of thing.
