Hello all, I just had a couple of general questions about FOF. I was looking at FOF8, and it seems like many of the changes are geared toward those who want to design detailed game plans and actually play out the games. I want to be an overbearing GM. I want to build the roster, set the depth charts, assign how much playing time my top RB gets, how much to target the top WR, general blitz percentage, etc. But I want to sim the actual playing of the games, so I can progress through seasons faster. So, the first question is whether I would be better off getting FOF7 or FOF8. The other question is whether there is a way to have FOF on two computers and transfer some kind of save file between them, so you can play the same career between two computers (I have some down time at work sometimes . . . ).

Thanks much for any guidance!

Someone more technologically savvy can handle the second question, but I think you'll find the roster building component of FOF8 more than adequate. The depth chart by formation is a huge addition in my mind and allows you to more tailor certain positional players to specific roles.

If you like that aspect of the game, as you play more, you might consider a multi player league. Many leagues are significantly weighted to roster building. FOF8 becomes the only option at that point.
