View Full Version : Way to stop staff from re-assigning players to new position?

I had 2 superior RBs and they switched one to a FB. If I switch him back to RB, he takes a near-half skills hit. Which itself makes no sense...(to say nothing of how over-emphasized FBs are in FOF in general; cmon FOF, join us in the 21st century)...but I see no way to prevent this kind of thing happening. For some positions you take a minor or even no hit to switch back, but this is ridiculous. And nothing in single-player settings or anywhere else that I see, can prevent this. And of course nothing in the player guide helps. argh. Anyone?

I think is in Game Options. Staff automatically signs players to fill the Roster. That should avoid automatic position re-assignings. It doesn't happen to me.

I doubt it but I'll see how it goes. I think that just means what it says: they don't automatically sign a player if you have a roster need. But it might include giving guys new positions too....if so it's poorly worded.

Again...assuming this is another FOF 7 question, without being labeled as such.

In the options screen, if you have "staff sets depth chart" turned to yes, the staff may make position switches DURING TRAINING CAMP. Those switches do not seem to trigger the fairly dramatic ratings changes that can accompany a position switch, but if you decide to manually reverse the switch, that may do so.

While position switching is very changed in FOF 8, I think all of the above still applies in the newer game as well.
