Extensions

I extend

I don’t extend

Montgomery dropped to 62/62 – nope. I may make him an offer next year.

Brinkley - I have Unger.

Two years left

Gassner wants 319 for 5 years. I do so. That eats up my cap space

Here is Unger after a camp and preseason. He’s green but I like him a lot! He starts as my #3 WR.

https://i.ibb.co/vwXb2gy/Jets-599.png

Here’s the best pick in the draft at 2.32 RB Torelli. He’s my new starter after booming to low 60s. He;s a better runner than catcher. He’s good with speed, inside, 3rd down, and more. Welcome Torelli!

Offensive

Passing

QB Moya – 323 of 481, 67.2%, 3561 yards, 29:6, 103.8 rating

Best rating, TDs, %, but low yards.

Rushing

RB Torelli – 301 for 1623, 5.39 avg, 11 scores

He led in yards and was tied for first in scores.

Receiving

https://i.ibb.co/ZK57zTQ/Jets-600.png

Gassner again led my team with a lot of yards and grabs. He led our team in scores and yards and grabs. He was 2nd in yards and 5th in scores. Dubin was fine with the yards in his 2nd year starting for me at TE and notched me 729 yards. No one else cracked the 500+ bucket but with a 3500 yard QB season that’s to be expected.

https://i.ibb.co/R9b8ZY9/Jets-601.png

It’s very rare when the leader on your team’s KRB is an OT. Clifton and McGillicuddy both had great years with more than 40 KRB each! Our OT was 2nd in the league for KRBs and led in pancakes! Good stuff! Jeffries needs to do better.

Special Teams

K Ballard – 42 of 46, Long of 52,55 of 57 PAT

A great year by our K and he was better % than last year. He led in FG made by 4 and PAT by 13. Good stuff Ballard!

P Evans – 72 punts for 44.5 avg, and 28 in 20

Much better season than last!

WR Gassner – 2 PR RET TDs

CB Byrnes – 28 special teams tackles

Abe Sargent

Defensive

https://i.ibb.co/bPsPvdK/Jets-602.png

SILB Vaughn led the team with 111 tackles and grabbed me 4 sacks. Cook was 2nd with 109 tackles which was pretty sexy as well. Dunn and Samuels tied for 12.5 sacks and I can’t recall that before. They were tied for 4th most sacks in the league, all Des. 7 sacks by the old man Montgomery and Harmon netted me 6 sacks in his first year at WLB. Wynn just 4.5 which has to rise.

Pass Coverage

https://i.ibb.co/pQd3Wt3/Jets-603.png

Byrnes led my team with 6 picks and 13 pasdef and was great for me! He won his first All Pro but he was robbed after getting a 9 pick season with no All Pro. Good stuff! Cook netted me 4 picks and 13 pas def which was also good. Vaughn another 4 picks and 14 pasdef showing his great season in this section of D last year returned. Note that 70+ stud starter Henry needs more than a 0 pick 11 pasdef season. A good year here!

Rookie of the Year – RB Jeffrey Torelli - Led league in rush yards and tied for most in scores, and got Off. Rookie of the Year and All Pro.

Stats

Offensive

Passing

QB Bratsch – 341 of 492, 69.3%, 3691 yards, 23:8, 99.9 rating

That is the best % we’ve had by Curtis or Moya and he led the league in rating, %. He was down in yards and tied for 3rd in scores. He rose to 64/64.

At 64/64 Bratsch is the… 8th best current QB by current value and 12th best by potential.

Rushing

RB Torelli – 430 for 2122 yards, a ypc of 4.93, and 17 scores!

He led in everything. Yards by almost 700, scores by 8. He dominated!!!

Receiving

Get ready for a surprise…

https://i.ibb.co/dKrSs9x/Jets-606.png

In his first year in starting, Bratsch really built up Gassner. He led the league in yards with 1552, grabs with 119, and was 2nd in scores with 10. Nasty year for the guy and his fourth year the dude has three All Pros. I was afraid that Gassner would take a step back with a new QB but the dude took a step FORWARD! Dude is a stud. RB Torelli grabbed 81 snags and 608 yards and finished with 2.7k yards from scrimmage. Dubin was 3rd with 578 yards and then no one else crossed 500 and this team is really becoming Gassner’s. Which I’m okay with.

Blocking

https://i.ibb.co/QJqLw8L/Jets-607.png

My OTHER OT led with KRB this year and again that’s odd and the guy netted me a ton of KRB from the OT spot. Jeffries was great as well. He was the 3rd best OC in KRB so he played up to hi talent level. No sacks allowed either. Escribano was 4th best KRB for any position and the best for OTs. McGillicuddy again had a great year for an LT. Good stuff pair! Keep it up!

Special Teams

K Ballard – 46 of 54 FG, Long of 56, 49 of 52 PAT

He had the most FGs again. By 7. The most PAT by 10. Dude is a weapon!

P Evans – 67 for 44.8 and 28 in 20

Not bad.

Defensive

https://i.ibb.co/QpZCVwr/Jets-608.png

Vaughn had a fun year with 112 tackles but my team was down with the sacks. Just 13 for Samuels who was 3rd most in the league and grabbed another All Pro, and then Wynn back to form with 8 and got another All Pro. And that’s was it. Just 6 sacks for Dunn and only 3 for rookie Tosi. Just 1 sack for Vaughn and 2 for Montgomery. Light on the sacks line.

Pass Coverage

https://i.ibb.co/QjGLgVB/Jets-609.png

A down year for my coverage as well. Byrnes led my team with a solid 15 pasdef and 5 picks. But we had just two others with double digit pasdef and starters like Henry have just 1 pick and 9 pasdef. Not great here either.

TE Shelton – 50/50 wants 24 mill for 3 years. I hold off until post draft

FS Simonsen – No signing

QB Bratsch – Wants 434 mill over 5 years. That’s a big cap hit increase of 52 mill

The 2007 NFL Amateur Draft

Drafting 1st is the Detroit Lions. I think they’ll go… RB Jon Erickson. They do so!

1.28

Our pick arrives. Who do I like?

DE Sawyer Clemons – Top player on the board, could be my new Dunn? No interview, pass rush specialist.
LG Darren Hancock – Stud on the board, could be a great starter for me. I just extended Lymm to sign my QB, and Clifton has an All Pro, but this guy could be a better player at that position.
FB Johnathan Goricki – Top FB on the board, very overrated, I couldn’t sign Davison and need a replacement
FS Jacob Palmer – Top DB on the board, okay bars, hard to read
RCB Efrain Conway – 2nd DB on the board, overrated

https://i.ibb.co/JRt2vRw/Jets-610.png

Here’s Clemons the best player on th draft, and looks to have good pass rush tech and stre and good play D and hitting. Pretty good and I could replace Dunn.

https://i.ibb.co/zx7QcRk/Jets-611.png

When a stud falls to the back half of the 1st round here you need to take him and Hancock looks very studly.

What do you do?

Abe Sargent
03-18-2021, 10:40 PM
I draft the need of DE and take Clemons.

2.28 – FB Johnathan Goricki is still on the board. He’s a trap as he’s very overrated so I pass on him. TE Antonio Dotson? I interviewed him and he is hard to read and looks good.

https://i.ibb.co/sbC44sz/Jets-612.png

Wanna see him? I grab him here.

3.28 – Fb Carlos Flannery? LG Ron Haley? I really like how studly Haley looks he’s the 3rd best OG on the board and I need a FB. Which do I do? FB.

4.28 – DE Stanley Fishley? He’s good DE in case Clemons busts.

5.28 – MLB Norman Ingram? He looks like a grower.

6.28 – TE Ben Moss? He’s TE bust protection.

7.28 – CB Donnie Dennis?

The 2097 NFL Preseason

I hand out 12 deactives and massage my depth chart. I move Dotson to start at TE and Flannery at FB.

I cut DE Shaw to give him a place to sign, and I decide to start Nordbye at DE instead of Clemons unless he grows. I start Garrett at SLB.

Week 2 – At Knoxville – We win 41-10

Week 3 – Baltimore – We win 30-21

Week 4 – Indy – We win 44-26

Week 5 – At Cleveland – We win 37-13

Big wins. We go 4-0

3.28 – FB Carlos Flannery, Arizona, 38/51, 42/54, 45/66

Hall of Fame Check

In order from most to least likely, just my roster right now

RB Jeffrey Tortelli – 2k season, two All Pros, 1 league MVP, 1 Off Player of the Year, 1 Off. Rookie of the Year, just 2 years into career. Not that many more awards are needed for a HOF career.

DE Samuels – 2 Rings, 4 All Pros in 7 years.

WR Gassner – 3 All Pros in four years, 1 Ring, on the parabola for HOF

K Ballard – The only HOF K has 3 All pros, Ballard already has 4.

OT McGillicuddy – 6th year vet with two All Pros in years, just 67/67 and plays OT but he could be in the conversation.

QB Rodney Bratsch – 1 All Pro in first year starting, doesn’t need that many to make HOF as a QB, on the queue if he continues.

No one else has more than 1 All Pro.

Shout out to Montgomery with 4 ALl Pros, Def Playre of the Year, Def Rookie of the Year and Super Bowl MVP.

The 2097 NFL Regular Season

We can’t keep sustaining these 16-0 seasons. We drop back to 13-3 a more realistic standard.

Week 1 – At NYG – Ready? We win 21-10. The Giants just don’t have our number any more. Ballard is MVP with SEVEN OF SEVEN FGs! Wow! That’s why he’s all pro! Torelli is 28 got 160, and Bratsch is 23 of 39, 267, pick by Simonsen.

Week 2 – Portland – We win 40-13. MVP is Torelli, 33 for 190 and 2 scores, Bratsch is 20 of 28, 242 and 1:0 with a score to Gassner who is 6 for 99. FF and rec by Cook, 1.5 sacks by rookie Clemons in his second game! 6 KRB By Escribano and Clifton.

Week 3 – New Orleans – We win 44-12. Remember when New Orleans was a hard game? Or a loss in a 15-1 season? Not this year. Bratsch, MVP, 22 of 29, 239 and 2:0 scores by Unger and Gassner, picks by Vaughn and Frederickson, 4 KRB by McGillicuddy,

Week 4 – Richmond – We win 44-7. Torelli, MVP, 34 for 131, 2 scores, Bratsch, 20 of 28, 266 and 2:1 scores by Torelli and Gassner who was 7 for 149. Pick six by LB Whitney, picks by Cook and Vaughn, 3 pasdef by SLB Garett,

We are 4-0!

Abe Sargent

Week 5 – Detroit – We win 30-6. Torelli, MVP, 36 for 172, 1 score, Bratsch is with 19 of 27 for 206 and 2:0 scores by Campbell and Gassner. 2 sacks by Wynn, 4 KRb by Jeffries.

Frederickson is out. Simonsen will start for him. SE Unger has turf toe and will be out for a while.

Week 6 – At 5-0 Green Bay – Is this a real game? Battle of the undefeateds. We lose 24—27. That’s our first regular season loss in Bratsch’s career. How will he handle it? Torelli, 30 for 125 and 1 score, Bratsch 30 of 43, 257, 2:1, scores by Schultz and Flannery, picks by Vaughn and Juckett, 2 FF by Byrne, 1 rec by Vaughn,

CB Trippi and WLB Whitney are out for a few weeks each.

Week 7 – At DC – Trap Game? We win 30-15. Nope! Torelli, MVP, 36 for 175, 1 score, Bratsch 16 of 17, pulled in 4th quarter, 129 and 2:0 scores by Gassner and Torelli, 4 KRB by Clifton,

Week 8 – BYE BYE BYE!!!

Week 9 – At 5-2 Chicago – Another loss? Nope! We win 31-17. Torelli, MVP, 31 for 166 and 2 score, Bratsch is 27 of 36, 208 and 1:0 score by rookie Moss his first, and Gassner is 9 for 112. Picks by Simonsen and Byrnes, FF by Schneider rec by Henry, 3 pasdef by Garrett, 5 KRB by Escribano,

Frederickson is back from his broken jaw.

We are 7-1 at the 2nd quarter mark!

Abe Sargent
03-19-2021, 08:55 AM
Week 10 – 2-6 NYG – We win 31-23. Closer than others! MVP? Torelli, 26 for 121, 1 score, rush score by Bratsch who is 14 of 20 for 120 and 2:2, scores by Gassner and Torelli, picks by Cook and Frederickson, FF by Frederickson rec by Schneider, 3 pasdef by Garrett, 4 KRB by Lynn and Jeffries.

Week 11 – At 5-4 Greenville – Trap game? Away in division, big game against Anchorage next week… Yup! We lose 27-20, our second loss of the season. Bratsch is 24 of 36, 266 and 2:1 with scores by Unge rand Campbell with Gassner having 8 for 140.

With 6 games left, Torelli is at 1468 yards and on line to repeat his 2k if he can avg more than 100/yards per game for the last 6 games. Pretty easy how he’s playing. He did it in 15 games last year..

Week 12 – 7-3 Anchorage – The big one, a Super Bowl preview? We win 28-19. MVP? Bratsch who is 26 of 38, 278 and 2:0 scores by Gassner and Schultz, Torelli is 22 for 123 and got his needed yards, pick by Frederickson, 5 KRb by Jeffries

WLB Whitney is back from injury.

Week 13 – At 7-4 Arizona – Rough away game? We win 37-25. Good by Arizona making it a game. Torelli, MVP, 35 for 184, 1 score, rush score by Bratsch who is 20 of 27, 199 and 3:1 scores by Torelli, Moss and Dubin. FF and rec by Tosi. 5 KRb by Clifton and 4 by Escribano.

We are 10-2 at the 3rd quarter mark.

Abe Sargent
03-19-2021, 09:15 AM
Week 14 – At 5-7 LV – We trump them 47-3. MVP is SLB Garrett with 3.5 sacks, 3 sacks by Samuels and 2.5 by Wynn. We’ve had a bad sack season until now with three sackless games and two with just 1. Torelli, 27 for 101 and 1 score. Well, he barely got that 100 yards. Bratsch is 19 of 26, 201 and 3:0 and was pulled in the 4th quarter for Hamilton who was 7 of 11 for 79 and 1:0. Scores by Gassner, Dubin, Campbell and Schultz, pick six by Tosi, pick by Cook, FF by Garrett, 3 pasdef by Schneider,

Ben Moss is doubtful but we’ll start him.

Trippi is back.

Unger is back from his turf toe.

Torelli Watch – He is at 1881 with 3 games to go, he only needs 119 in three games. He might crack it next week!

Week 15 – 7-6 Greenvillle – They beat us at home, can we prevent the sweep? We win 30-7. Samuels, MVP, 3 sacks, Torelli, 25 for 129 and he cracked 2k in 14 games! Bratsch is with 16 of 22, 189 and 2:1 scores by Campbell and Schultz, FF by Vaughn, rec for score by Wynn,

Trippi is injured again and is out for the season. I place him on IR and sign SS Michael Brondstetter.

The Torelli Watch – 2010 yards with 2 games left.

Gassner is out for 4 weeks and he was 3rd in the league in yards but dropped to 4th after that game after leaving early. Sucks he was on line for All Pro.

Week 16 – At 5-9 LAC – We win 30-3. Torelli, MVP, 23 for 113, and 2 scores. Bratsch 18 of 25, 166, pick six by Juckett, pick by Henry,

Schneider is out for a few weeks. I move my dimeback Juckett to nickel to cover.

Week 17 – 5-9-1 DC – We win a low scoring affair 17-13. MVP is Bratsch who is 21 for 29, 154 an 1:0, score by Unger, FF by Byrnes, quiet win

We finish 14-2 and with the top seed in the playoffs

Stats –

Offensive

Passing

QB Bratsch – 331 of 483, 68.5%, 3472 yards, 27:8. 100.9 rating

He led the league in rating by 11, % by 4.1, was 3rd in scores. Not bad buddy!

Rushing

RB Torelli – 455 for 2212, 4.86 ypc, 17 scores

He set the record for most rush yards in a season which was 2,177. He led the league in rush yards by 811 and in scores by 6. Great year! Torelli has been a revelation!

Receiving

https://i.ibb.co/RDjB0m3/Jets-614.png

No judgment here Gassner was stopped by injury when he was 3rd in the league in receiving heading into the 14th game of the season and he only played 13 games and 1 drive of another. He had a good postseason though. Torelli was 2nd on my team in grabs and 3rd in yards with 520 and netted me more than 2.7k yards from scrimmage and Schultz was 3rd with 532 yards. Moss in his rookie year wasn’t great and he was injured for a bit too.

Blocking

https://i.ibb.co/D1FjkgF/Jets-615.png

Jeffries has been playing up to his talent level the last few seasons and just got his 2nd All Pro at a tough place to do so – OC. Escribano showed his colors and grabbed me another 40 KRB which is huge for OTs. He as 2nd in the league in KRB at the OT spot. His 10 pancakes led the league by 1. Lynn was tied for 2nd most pancakes with 9. Great year blocking! McGilicuddy dropped back down after two great eyars and All Pros. Every one of my line has All Pros save for Lynn. Three have 2 All pros save for Clifton who has just one.

Special Teams

K Ballard - 47 of 55, Long of 57, 49 of 51 PAT

He had the most FG made by 4 and the most PAT made of by 6. What can you say?

P Evans – 59 punts for 46.6 avg, 26 in 20

A great year by Evans, his best!

No returns this year

ILB Vaughn – 26 special teams tackles

Abe Sargent
03-19-2021, 09:58 AM
Defensive

https://i.ibb.co/JnV1rjF/Jets-616.png

Another down year for sacks, for most of my players. Vaughn led my team in tackles with a nice 118 and then grabbed me 2 sacks. 7 sacks for SLB Garrett in his first year is pretty saucy. Just 11.5 for Samuels, rookie Clemons netted me 8.5 which was good for a rookie, and Wynn got hist 3rd All Pro with 9.5 sacks which is a ton of sacks. WLB Tosi needs to improve his sack numbers from 4.5.

Pass Coverage

https://i.ibb.co/n1NcG0j/Jets-617.png

This was also a down year for my secondary. Just 3 picks led my team and Vaughn, Frederickson and Cook each had that. None of those had double digit pasdef seasons. Henry another low pick season with 12 pasdef. He has 66 picks rating he should be dong better than that. Garrett tied for the lead on my team with 12 pasdef but I’d like a pick or two from my starting SLB. A down year. I need to really invest in a better secondary as my guys have dropped off in talent like Simonsen and Cook and Byrnes and you can see it here.

The 2098 NFL FA Period #1

I review the draft and interview many DBs. Like 8. We need to renovate my secondary.

Before I sign anyone I cut TE Dubin this frees 27 mill. I don’t need three good TEs, and that money will be needed elsewhere.

I sign my lone RFA and have 43

Now before anyone else I have a rookie we need to talk about

RB Torelli – the 2 time league MVP and 2k guy wants 307 mill over 5 years. I currently have 28 mill available for new players. Torelli would have an increased cap hit of 39 mill. Where can I free up another 12 mill or so?

I cut FS Cook. He has a cap cost of 25 mill and we save 19 mill by cutting the 41/41 veteran.

I extend Torelli. I have 8.3 mill left

Vets in Last Year of Contract

I extend my LS

SE Schultz – Dropped to 52/52, wants 88 mill for 4 years. No thanks

LG Clifton – 8th year vet, wants 67 mil for 3 years. I hold off until post draft

WILB Cote – I’ll let him go he dropped to 51/51 last year

LT Richie McGillicuddy – He wants 96 mill for 3 years, which is a cap rise of 12 mill. I cannot do that right now.

K Ballard – Wants 101 mill for 4 years. I do it

Cb Bart Juckett – Wants 33 mill over 3 years. I do it.

Rookies In Final Year of Deal

WR Unger – Wants 107 mill over 4 years which is reasonable. I don’t have the cap space. We’ll let him go.

I cut Cote. I get 7.6 in cap space. I sign McGillicuddy.

I have 6.6 mill in cap space. Any of my UFAs I wanna chase?

Free are Schneider, Frederickson, Simonsen, and

I offer Frederickson for 14.79 mill for 2 years.

Week 6 – Frederickson signs with us, Schneider heads to Baltimore.

The 2098 NFL Amateur Draft

Ready for the next to last interjection of talent for the decade and century?

Drafting first is the Carolina Panthers. I think they’ll go with … OT Braxton Dawkins a 7.0 stud. They go WR David Whitfield. Dawkins heads 1.2 to Richmond one of our old teams. We have a deep draft with 7 DBs with 5.8 or higher and I interviewed them all.

The 1.31 arrives. Who do I like here?

Every DB rated 5.8 is off the board…sad..

FS Ashton Coleman – Overrated, 2nd best DB on the board
CB Mackenzie Collins – Top DB on the board, no interviews horrible picks,
SLB Cory Conklin – Stud in everything save run d where he’s really bad. I could grab him and start him for Garrett at SLB although his weakness isn’t good at SLB where we like those tackles. He might be better at the pass rush all the time WLB.
CB Arnie Zeigler – 3rd best DB on the board, good picks
FS Gustavo Learned = 4th best DB o the board, also bad with the picks

Who do you like here?

https://i.ibb.co/dgwJ5Kw/Jets-618.png

Here’s Conklin. As you can see he looks great everywhere – coverage, pass rush, play D and hitting, but not at run d. He’d probably not be a 70 LB without that key ability. Is he worth a 1.31 pick?

Is this the Conklin draft? Or do I reach for a CB/S?

Abe Sargent

I do CB Collins, the top DB on the board as he has the best bars although he’s low in picks. I cannot in good conscience take a SLB that low in Run Blocking.

2.31– FS Cooper Cunningham? LG Axel Blake? Blake is very green and more of a pass blocker. DE Silas McConnell? He seems pretty sexy and keen but more of a run stopper. I do Blake.

3.31 – WR Hunter Nieves? Yup!

4.31 – Who do I like here? CB Scott McAdams? I do it. It’s insurance on Collins busting. He looks like a grower.

5.31 – SLB Trenton Brady? He’s the BAP.

6.31 – MLB Zack Everett? He looks like a grower.

Save vote at 7th pick.

7.31 – TE Mitchell Dawkins? I only have 3 TEs on my roster. Looks like a grower as well.

Rookie Lookie #1

1.31 – CB Mackenzie Collins, Auburn, 32/62
2.31 – OG Axel Blake, DELAWARE STATE – That’s an HBCU I won a national championship with in FOFTCY in the SOL8, 24/65

I extend… WR Campbell by 3 years.

Rookies

Here’s the new stud CB Collins, he’s bad at punching, but is good everywhere else and he boomed a lot! Check out those picks!

https://i.ibb.co/3WgLkzg/Jets-621.png

Here’s my new OG Axel Blake, a 69 pot guy, his weakest part is his run blocking not good on a smashmouth team and he’s likely to be a placeholder under a better run blocker arrives on the scene. I doubt I’ll give him a pro contract on a team this trapped for cash as all of my triumvirate are on cap-busting pro deals.

Stats

Offensive

Passing

QB Bratsch – 325 of 495, 65.7 %, 3836, 34:13, 101.0 rating

He led in scores, rating, and was 2nd in yards.

Rushing

RB Torelli – 437 for 1794, 4.11 ypc, 10 score

A down year in scores and yards but still led the league in yards by hundreds.

Receiving

https://i.ibb.co/xMVCJZQ/Jets-622.png

Gassner led the league by 147 yards over the next highest person. He was 2nd in grabs and led with 13 scores. Moss was 2nd with a solid 774 yards on 72 grabs and 9 scores and was 2nd on my team in both and had a much better year than his rookie year. Torelli dropped a lot all the way down to just 379 yards which crossed 2k. No one other than my top two with 500+ yards.

Blocking

https://i.ibb.co/T4yKXr3/Jets-623.png

Once again an OT has led my team in KRBs and Jeffries was very down from the last two seasons. McGillicuddy was rocking his 3rd All Pro for me and was 2nd for OTs in KRBs. A solid year for my line and rookie Blake was very nice with 26 KRB as a very green rookie.

Special Teams

K Ballard – 39 of 46, Long of 57, 49 of 51 PAT

What can I say that I haven’t; said? A down year for the lad still led the league.

P Evans – 74 punts, 44.1 avg, 29 in 20

Not bad, not good.

Gassner – 2 PR RET TDs

Byrnes – 21 special teams tackles

Clemons in his 2nd year netted me just 6.5 sacks which is down from his rookie year. Garrett grabbed me a great 8 sacks. We need to do better in terms of sacks.

Pass Coverage

https://i.ibb.co/DVGSdDb/Jets-625.png

Collins led my team with pasdef at 13 and picks at 6. He was a great player and was robbed of All Pro as the most picks were 7 by one CB. Just one other CB had 6 picks so he should have gotten 2 All Pro with 13 pasdef to their 8 and 17, but nope. No awards. That would not happen in reality a 6 pick and 13 pasdef year would always get an All Pro when the league lead is 7. No one else was good with picks save Frederickson with 3, but we had a great year for pasdef so I can’t be too annoyed. Save at Henry.

The 2099 NFL Amateur Draft

Final draft of the century!

Drafting 1st is Pittsburgh. I like QB Trent Flowers for them. And…they grab him

1.32 arrives. Who do I like?

DE Dominique Gray – Top player on the board, could replace Samuels. No interview, okay bars
WILB Cary Moss – 2nd best player on the board, Hard to Read, okay bars, great run stopping,
C Nickolas Harris – Top C in draft, okay bars, underrated. Jeffries is in his 10th year.
SLB Alvin Godzik – 2nd best LB on the board, - Overrated
WLB Derrick Shade – 3rd best LB on the board, Hard to Read – good run d and pass rush
CB Leland Cook – Great picks, top DB on the board, Hard to Read. I need a new starter at S.

I skip Gray, his bars are just okay. What do you do here?

I can make arguments for Moss, Harris, and Shade and maybe Cook.

Here they are.

https://i.ibb.co/0CXgzRt/Jets-626.png

Great run stopping and good play D and okay pass rush, a good ILB.

https://i.ibb.co/Dg1R6V3/Jets-627.png

Great run stop and pass rush – good at WLB.

Styling picks, good coverage for things not named man to man.

Jeffries replacement, not great run blocking.

I need a new OC. Jeffries is still playing well but for how long? I go with Harris.

3.32 – RB Herman Riley? WR Leslie Donaldson? Riley – I want a better backup for Torelli.

4.32 – DT Donny Wagner? SS Peyton Womack? I go Womack he looks pretty good for here and will be bust insurance for Mathews.

5.32 – SLB Phil Blouch? He looks pretty sexy.

6.32 – RT Gene Walton?

Stats

Offensive

Passing

QB Bratsch – 304 of 446, 68.2%, 3443 yards, 24:8, 101.5 rating

Meh

Rushing

RB Torelli – 388 for 1831, 4.80 ypc, 22 score

Nasty yards and loads of scores. He set a record for the most rush scores in a season.

Receiving

https://i.ibb.co/hFrwkQn/Jets-631.png

Gassner a solid year as my QB’s pass yards dropped beneath 3500. He was 7th in yards in the league. Campbell my only other 500+ year with 595 on 43 grabs and 3 scores and a 100 yard game.

Blocking

https://i.ibb.co/pRgVzB2/Jets-632.png

Another year with a OT as my top KRB. Schneider was okay in his debut with 25 KRB and just 2 sacks allowed. This is Lynn’s 2nd year with an All Pro award. Good stuff!

Special Teams

K Ballard – 37 of 44, Long of 56, 56 of 60 PAT

An okay year for Ballard.

P Evans – 85 for 43.6 avg and 46 in 20

A great 20 % by Evans, the best in the league.

Gassner/Nieves – Each 1 KR RET TD

ILB Vaughn 24 special teams tackles

Defensive

https://i.ibb.co/3h3y3LF/Jets-633.png

Vaughn was 3rd in solo tackles in the league with a nasty 131. He also netted me 3 sacks and that was great and helped his 3rd All Pro. Nordbye led my team with a great 15 sacks which was 4th most in the league at any position. Clemons grabbed me 9 sacks and we need to do better. Wynn was held to just 4.5 sacks. Garrett 5.5 sacks in 10 starts. Okay is sacks – not good, not bad.

Pass Coverage

https://i.ibb.co/dkdkr5v/Jets-634.png

Collins led all CBs in picks with 6, a S had 7. He also grabbed a pick six and 14 pasdef. He was the sold good player on my team. Not even Henry had 10+ pas def. My rookies were okay with Womack getting 2 picks and 7 pasdef and Mathews 3 picks and 6 pasdef. Vaughn 3 pick. Weak year otherwise

The 2100 NFL Amateur Draft

The first draft of the century is here!

Drafting at the coveted 1.1 spot are the Boise Falcons. I think the first draft pick of the 2100s is QB Dominique Franz. And they go…. CB Lincoln Unruh? Huh. Franz goes 1.3 to Knoxville.

The 1.31 pick is here. Who do I like?

MLB Wally O'Donnell – The best LB in the draft hasn’t gone. I wasn’t expecting him to fall so I didn’t scout him. Looks like a stud at everything save for run D where he’s only ok.
DT Vince Taggart – 3rd best player on the draft, could I take him and replace Wynn who is in his 9th year? He looks pretty sexy, no interviews.
SLB Darrin Hoover – Very underrated – Here is where I began my interviews. 2nd best LB on the board, not great bars.
WLB Wes Lusher – Very underrated, better bars, 3rd LB on the board
WILB Colton Durham- Overrated.
WILB Kaleb Robbins – Overrated
WILB Jackson Lillis – Overrated
SLB Micah Schwantz – Overrated

Who so I like?

O Donnells, Taggart and Lusher

https://i.ibb.co/zQGvCs4/Jets-635.png

Here’s the top player on the board O’Donnell who looks pretty good. I could move him to WLB and start him there where his run stop isn’t as important.

https://i.ibb.co/jJt8y72/Jets-636.png

Here’s Lusher, a guy I was targeting at the 1.31. He’s well rounded with no major weaknesses and is very underrated. He’d normally be my choice but O’Donnell fell.

https://i.ibb.co/4p9xpQt/Jets-637.png

Here is the 3rd best player in the draft, DT Taggart who seems to have good pass rush and run D and play D and okay hitting. You don’t often get gifted a DT this good this far back in the draft

Which LB/DT do you like?

Which LB/DT do you like?

Who do you grab? I pull the normal Lusher pick as I have two folks that look better. It’s harder ot get quality DTs this far back so I do Taggart.

2.31 – WR Edwin Abrams? SS Kelvin Arnold? Abrams. I need a 5th WR.

3.31 – SLB Dustin Murray? Run stopping specialist.

4.31 – DT Wes Daigle – Insurance against a bust by Taggart.

5.31 – LG Richard Flannery?

6.31 - MLB Geoff Chaudhuri?

Stats

Offensive

Passing

QB Bratsch – 322 of 497, 64.8, 3726, 32:5, 104.5

That’s his best career rating and the guy still got me 3726 yards. Hamilton has 210 yards spelling him for we finished just shy of 4k.

Rushing

RB Torelli – 421 for 2266 yards =, 5.38 ypc, 19 scores

Dude had a ton of scores and a ton of yards with a great ypc.

Receiving

https://i.ibb.co/qkHG8jQ/Jets-640.png

Gassner led all WRs with 1477 yards by 135 and his 14 TD led by 5 scores. Rookie stud WR Abrams was 2nd with 605 yards and 4 scores. A solid campaign. Torelli was with 514 yards and finished 2.7k yards from scrimmage and TE Moss netted me 528 yards so this was a good year in receiving.

Blocking

https://i.ibb.co/nfkQWvR/Jets-641.png

Artie Lynn had a massive campaign and led the league in KRB. He had a studly pancakes and just 4 sacks allowed. A great year by my backup C Schneider in his 2nd year starting for me. Escribano was a massive 41 KRB which… was 4th most in the league and top in his position. My O Line got Three All pros and my RB a 4th of my 7 so they were really clicking as you can see!

Special Teams

K Ballard – 31 of 36, Long of 55,52 fo 56 PAT

Okay!

P Evans – 76 for 42.6 avg and 34 in 20

Lower years for his avg.

Gassner THREE KR/PR RET TDs

Blouch – 25 special teams tackles

Defensive

https://i.ibb.co/FVw0M6s/Jets-642.png

A light year in tackles. Clemons finally broke the 10 sack mark with 11.5 and Nordbye won his 2nd All Pro with 13.5 which was..3rd most in the league. Blouch had a great year at SLB with a studly 9 sacks, and Vaughn moved to WLB grabbed me a strong 7.5. Rookie Taggart had just 4.5 sacks which was fine for a rookie but we’ll want to see improvement.

Pass Coverage

Maybe because Collins was out all year but this was a horrible year in the pass coverage and no one had more than 2 picks.

The 2101 NFL FA Period #1

I interview folks who may fall to 1.32. This doesn’t look like a good or deep draft but I cam away with a record 3 studs in the last so maybe someone will fall to me!

I sign my RFAs and extend QB Hamilton a year and P Evans by two years. McElroy wont’ resign he’s angry with his lack of playing time.

I have 5.2 mill after RFas and 47 on my roster

Vets

QB Bratsch – 12th year, 60/60, wants 142 mill 2 years, this cuts his cap this year from 106 to 82. I do it

K Ballard – Wants 69 mill for 3 years, I do it

SILB Vaughn – 66/66 9th year, I hold off until post draft

FS Fredrickson – I don’t resign

DE Nordbye – Wants 110 mill for 3 years which is a big cap raise of 22 mill. I do it.

Tosi – Wants 30 mill for 3 years. Do it

I extend NT Sayre

FB Flannery – 21 mill 4 years. Do it

Rookies in Final year

Dawkins – 14 mill 2 years, Do it

Brady - 45 mill 4 years, I hold off

I have 10 mill free after those extensions

Week 5 – Moss sings with Pittsburgh

Week 8 – Campbell heads to Seattle

Week 10 – DE Fishley heads to Chicago

The 2101 NFL Amateur Draft

Picking 1.1 is the Richmond Rattlesnakes. I like stud looking WR Tim Voorhees for them and they go…Voorhees, called it!

1.32 –

Who do I like here?

SLB Lamar Blades – 3rd best player on the board, the top LB – Overrated, okay bars
WLB Preston Malone – Good bars for a WLB strong in pass rush and run d, As Scouted
C Jace Rodriguez – Very underrated, top O Line on the board
LG Jon Givens – Very overrated, top OG left.
TE Bill Compton – Underrated, okay bars

Who do I like here? It’s really Malone or Rodriguez

https://i.ibb.co/mv74fRV/Jets-644.png

Here’s Rod. He’s great at everything but end, and he looks very underrated. But I just had an All Pro from Schneider so this feels like less of a need.

https://i.ibb.co/JjBKkwR/Jets-645.png

Here’s Malone a natural fit at WLB for me, but that’s where Vaughn is playing for me after moving ver. Malone looks like a good player who is as scouted, but again, this isn’t as much of a position of need, although I could draft Malone and then move Vaughn back to the middle at the less played WILB for a year or cut him.

Who do you like? Or do I do another position of need?

Abe Sargent

I need OC more than WLB. I go Rod. He might bust like my very underrated OC I took recently but I have to take the shot, Schneider cannot be my long term answer at OC.

2.32 – TE Darius Foster? I have 3 TEs. He looks pretty good.

3.32 – WLB Lionel Delgadillo? I do it. He looks really good as well!

4.32 – DE Oliver Boyer? OG William Powell? I do Powell.

5.32 – Cb Kyle Durham? I do it he looks like a grower.

6.32 - DE Randy Ellison – he’s a run stopper.

7.32 – Hm…who do I like? I grab the BAP Cb Duane Russell

Super Bowl MVP – QB Rodney Bratsch

All Pro 1st Team

RB Jeffrey Torelli
WR Ernest Gassner

All Pro 2nd Team

QB Rodney Bratsch
WR Edwin Abrams
OG Axel Blake
CB Mackenzie Collins

Great year by my squad, new All Pros for Blake and Abrams! You’ll see stats later, but this is my first time in this uber dynasty with TWO All Pro WR in the same season – that’s rare. They did some good stuff together this year. I’m shocked Blake won All Pro as he has just a 55 run blocking but dude had momentum. Collins another All Pro, dude is class. I thought a 16-0 team would have more than 6 All Pros, but whatevs.

Gassner was 2nd in the league in yards and top on my team in those, but 2nd in grabs to Abrams. His 12 scores led the league. Abrams was 6th most in yards and 2nd most in scores and 3rd in grabs. In his rookie year Foster netted me 465 yards and 8 massive scores. Good stuff! No one else was really in the conversation.

Blocking

https://i.ibb.co/jZF3dRk/Jets-649.png

A down year in blocking with just one 30+ blocker. Rookie J Rod was 2nd with 28 KRB and just 2 sacks allowed. Pretty good!

Special Teams

K Ballard – 33 of 42, Long of 56, 59 of 62 PAT

A fine year.

P Evans – 77 for 44.4 avg, 36 in 20

Defensive

https://i.ibb.co/6BmzQqt/Jets-650.png

A very down year in sacks with Clemons leading my team with just 11.5 and only DT Taggart’s 8.5 was good, and he was the 3rd best DT but no All Pro. Robbed? Vaughn has a nasty 9 sacks and Blouch 6 more with Murray’s 3. Nordbye my two time All Pro dropped a lot.

Pass Coverage

https://i.ibb.co/m0TGB4P/Jets-651.png

Collins is back from injury and all is right with the world. Another year leading my team in picks with a solid 5. He also added 5 pasdef and a team leading 3 pick sixes. Mathews was 2nd with a solid 4 and 7 respectively. 3 by Henry and Bloch but just one with double digits pasdef. Not great but it’d be a lot worse without Collins, like last year.
