I'm With Stupid (IWS) Vol. 41
IWS #41
IWS Rules
This is a copy of the rules which have appeared in countless other versions of IWS...
The object of this contest is to answer the questions posted below, and to provide the most common answer among those submitted. This answer does not have to be correct.
For each question, your score will be equal to the number of people who submitted that response. Your score for the contest will be the product of your individual question scores. Highest score wins.
Example: If you answer 'Frog' to question one, and 6 other people did too, you get 7 for that question. Your total score is the product (that's multiplying, for those non-math inclined) of all six of your scores. So if you get, say, 1, 15, 7, 9, 4, 3, you'd end up with a total of 1 * 15 * 7 * 9 * 4 * 3 = 11,340.
Send your entries by private message to me, bryce, via PM on the FOFC board. If I run out of space on my private message system, only those actually received will be considered. When I post bumps, I will post the people from whom I have entries so you can make sure that I have received yours. Entries must be submitted by 12:00 PM (Central) on Monday June 23, 2003
There aren’t many rules or clarifications necessary, but here are those I can think of:
No collaborating in any way. No posting your answers to this board, nor sharing them by email or in any other way with other potential contestants.
All determinations of matches and anything else requiring judgment fall to the sole administrator of this puzzle. There will be no appeals or contesting of the results. You can, however, reduce the need for doubt and judgment by properly spelling your submissions, being clear, that sort of thing. Anything that gives clear and precise knowledge of how to determine whether your answer is the same as another answer is very helpful both to me and to you. (Answering Cincinnati Bengals is probably clearer than answering Cincinnati, for instance)
The winner of this contest will become the host of the next "I'm With Stupid Contest. If he chooses not to host the contest, the next highest placing participant who wishes to host may do so. In the event of a tie, one winner will moderate, and all winners will have the option to contribute questions.
The winner(s), of course, also retain the right to have their screen names published as past winners of the contest for all future versions. And that's nothing to sneeze at, I'll tell you.
Enough of the fine print. Let’s examine the finer things in life, shall we (and here's hoping none of these questions are repeats now that we're up to the 41st edition):
1. Name a band/musician/musical act/etc (past or present) from Texas.
2. Name an import beer.
3. Name a now-defunct professional sports league.
4. Name a woman you’d like to see pose nude but never has (be it pictures, film, in person, etc).
5. Name a sports game designed for the original Nintendo.
6. Name a university heralded for both its academics and athletics.
