Sometime in the next couple days I plan on getting a new videocard for my computer. I currently have a Geforce 2 MX 64 MB. Yes yes, I know it's not very good.

I'm in college and so I do not have very much extra money to spend. I'm thinking around $100 max.

Currently the only two I've seen good things about are the Geforce4 Ti4200 and Geforce FX 5200. I've seen the 5200 at a pretty low price ($70 or so) and know the Ti4200 runs just around $100. One of the main reasons I'm getting a new videocard is because of Star Wars Galaxies coming out this week. While I know none of the above cards will even touch SWG's graphical potential, I'm sure it will be a hell of a lot better than what I have right now.

So I ask you guys, which card do you recommend I buy? the Geforce 4 Ti4200 or Geforce FX5200. I'm basically keeping my eyes open on www.pricewatch.com hoping to find a steal on either card.

Thanks for the help

Ti4200 is as good as it gets at under 100

here is a benchmark link for middle class cards

Agreed. 4200 is good speed for low cash.
