FOFC Winston Cup Season 8 Signup

Here is the sign up for Season 8. All people who want to join please sign up here. I would like all current drivers to also post stating their desire to return to the series. We always welcome new drivers, but there are not that many spots that are open. If you would like to join the series, please post an application and you will be admitted when I know how many current drivers are staying in the series. I would expect around 10 openings for new drivers.

New Driver App - Please give me your driver name and either a number you would want or sponsor you would like. If you give a sponsor please also give a number in case that sponsor cannot be found.

All new drivers please PM with your stats. The following will explain how to create your drivers stats. Also, any current driver who is not happy with how their driver finished this past season and would like to create a new stat set do the same as new drivers would and send me a pm with the new stats.


You have 200 points to add to the first stat set. The Min can go no lower than 70. The Max can go no higher than 100. Their must always be at least 5 points between your Min and Max.

Finishing: Min 70 Max 75
Qualifying: Min 70 Max 75
Road Course: Min 70 Max 75
Short Tracks: Min 70 Max 75
Speedways: Min 70 Max 75

You will 100 points to add to the car stat set. Same rules apply as the first.

For the third set you will have 75 points to add.

When you have a chance, could you email me Chris Snow's stats. I thought they were pretty much the same as the other three, but I want to double check. I doubt I'll change them. last season HAD to be a fluke.....

I am using Nascar Racing 2002 for this series so the car would have to be for that game. Any current driver is allowed to get a new car if they would like.

Mask Racing Adds A Second Driver

Bobby Mask's racing team has added a second driver to their group. Bobby's younger brother Andre. Andre Mask will be driving the #5 Cingular Wireless car, the same sponsor that sponsor's Bobby's #62 car.

Bobby Mask said the addition of the second driver is to be able to compete with the big time drivers in the sport. "Almost all of the top drivers seem to be on a team," he said. "Look at Snow Motorsports, Chris, Telle, Ren and Kai Collins. Then you have Nick Phillips and Mustafa Henderson on a team. And also Taco Money and Mr. Buttercup Jr. And now Rewbie Newsday and Rewbie Bluesday."

I have been thinking of adding 5 races to the schedule for Season 8. This would put the number of races at 25. I was wondering if everyone thought that this would be a good move.

It is based off of NASCAR Racing - Season 2003 (which is a racing game produced by Papyrus). It is a NASCAR sim where you can drive the cars. However, for the purpose of our little dynasty here, it is set up so that none of us actually drive. We simply specify attributes for our team (Driver, Car, and Pit categories) and gold101 sims the races. Then we sit back and watch as our team flounders (in my case) or flourishes (in RendeR's case) in the FOFC (Winston) Cup points.

Not out yet...unfortunately, he is not even done writing it. Just checked out his web site at http://www.georgerrmartin.com/ and he says:

I continue to make progress on A FEAST FOR CROWS, but more slowly than I would like. In recognition of the fact that the book has not yet been completed or delivered, my publishers both in the US and UK have finally changed the April pubdate to something more realistic... but until such time as I actually deliver the book, any publication date is pure guesswork.
