Damn. Started the season 14-3 and was cruising along. I then went on a twelve game losing streak, and have lost 13 out of my last 14 to now have a record of 15-17.
And the most embarassing part? I got swept by the bbors... :(

Aw crap, I'm even further back in the standings. And in the midst of a five game losing streak.
At least I'm playing the bbors next and should turn around my losing ways...
My team freakin stinks this season..But i swept the Vatos...so all is good :)

Can anyone explain to me how the whole offseason business works? Which of my players becomes and free agent and why? Or do I get to manually free agentficate them? I'm trying to avoid having the computer automatically bringing some of my players out of the low minors to fill spots since I'd prefer they stay there for further development.

Daedalus, that's a big issue I have with the game. In the offseason, your players decide wether or not to stick with you. You'll inevitably loose a couple, and who is brought up from your minors to fill out your roster (never able to be sent back down again), is seemingly random.
I was quite miffed when last season, it brough up 2 guys who needed LOADS more time in the low minors. I don't know about anybody else here, but I don't even check my team anymore.
Hell, I only got 1 draft pick from the looks of things.

El Paso managed to go 7-3 over their last ten games and clinched a playoff spot for the fourth year in a row!!!
In their first playoff game they beat the dastardly Wyandotte Wolverines 13-1. Can the Vatos continue their Cinderella run? Tune in to find out!!!
Pisses me off that i had a better record than you and did'nt make the play-offs ...grrrr

Starters generally suck in this game eh?....i get most of my wins from middle relievers...i had a mis reliever go 19-5 this season

The first season I had a middle relieve win 30 games. Kinda ridiculous if you ask me...
Hopefully he won't go to jail 30 years later like the last pitcher to win 30 games did (Denny McLain).
30 games?...are you serious?....that's a bit unrealistic.Oh well i still kinda enjoy it...very low maintanence game.
Too bad you don't Hattrick...then i could kick your @ss there too :D

Eh, Hattie didn't take with me. I think that it was something to do with the way they rate players. I had trouble figuring out the difference between disastrous, wretched, passable, etc...

The message at the site says the server should be back online and leagues running again on Wednesday. Still, this may be the straw that breaks the camel's back for many. Too bad - there are a lot of things this sim does extremely well...

Well, they've been saying that it should be up in a few hours for about a week now. So I'm not sure I believe them that it'll be up and running on Wednesday.

which means the Celtics are not eliminated yet.
