Free shipping on NCAA 2004. (http://eastore.ea.com/shopping/browse/directorymain.jsp?AS=1&keyword=ncaa2004)
I just ordered both NCAA and Madden for $116.14 with expedited shipping. I figured it was only about $8 more after taxes to get them both a day or two early. Last year, the games arrived before they were available in stores, according to guys over at Operation Sports. This puppy has been or pre-order from EA since I recieved a $15 off coupon in an email.
On my way back from Colorado, I bought a Gamepro magazine and they scored it a 4.5 4.5 5.0 for both the Ps2 and the Xbox, the Gamecube had lower scores for graphics and control.
They said the Ps2 version is brighter than the xbox version and the Xbox version is looks better graphically than the ps2 version.
Basically, it's a tighter game than NCAA 2003, better AI, and some really nice features. Looks like Madden 2004 won't be far behind this gem as I'll need somewhere to see my college boys play. Too bad Sega scrapped their college game.

Yeah, that really sucks about Sega scrapping the College game as well.
I would've seriously considered switching over to Sega football this year, granted if I heard enough good things about it.
Without the College game, that made my decision for me, I probably get the biggest kick out of bringing my college players in, I doubt I'd even play the Pro game if it wasn't for that.
Unfortunately, I'm going to be out of town two weeks, one whole week of which will be while NCAA 2004 is out, that might be a painful vacation. :(

I just spent a week away from my pc, ootp5 and FOF4, that was painful enough for me. Not to mention when I got home my pc wouldn't boot up. After some plug and play, I found out one of my memory sticks went kaput. Good thing I had a spare pc in the basement.

When will Sega make a good decision? Firt, they decide not to release their pro football game until a month after the competion did (people might have bought their game if they released early just to kill the time before Madden. Now that they'll already have Madden, what possible incentive will they have to try 2k4 or whatever they are calling it). Now they are not going to have a College game, meaning only EAsports will have a College and pro game.
I'm guessing Sega may not even be making football games in two years.

How much does EA pay you Kodos? How long have you worked for them? Is it a good company to work for?

It pays pretty well, but it's mostly a labor of love. I want to share the 2 best football series with the rest of the world. :)

seriously. Who are you, and what happened to the Kodos we thought we knew? Or maybe your EA propaganda just isn't as subtle as it used to be....

I got the same thing - which means it is only free with the SLOW shipping, looks like another week of driving from store to store when it comes out.

It's only free if you pick standard shipping. So if you pick expedited it costs 9.99.

Which is the expedited cost minus the standard cost. So it's free shipping if you are patient, cheaper shipping if you aren't. I figured putting the full price ($116.14) was a good way to let people know upfront whether or not it was worth it to them to look into doing this.
As for cthomer, I'm just trying to help fellow enthusiasts get a good deal, just as I have done with Best Buy and Toys 'r' Us sales/deals in the past. :)
Edit: Also, the discount only shows up as you are checking out. Here's how mine looked:

The more I thought about it the less I wanted to drive from store to store - so I went ahead and got it with the expedited shipping. It did take off 5.99 from the total so basically I got expedited shipping for 10 bucks which is not a bad deal.
