What does club rep mean in terms of effect?
Also, I been told to rebuild and invest in getting this team in position for next year title race. Would an "overhaul" of the roster and staff bring lot of critisim, including the top guys being sold to bring in funds.

Also,
I have Limerick. Any suggestions in how you would rebuild your club? I want to build a 4D-1DM-3M-2S/F "trapping" defense.

The 'rebuild' is the boards way of indicating that they don't believe your club can 'cut it' in their current division and you need to strengthen the squad.
When pushing players out of the door be careful of selling big-name players (especialy without replacing them) as that might upset other players, fans or even the board.
When rebuilding I generally start by putting a rock solid defense together then once thats done and we've stopped losing games I look towards creating scoring chances .... personal preference.

Thanks Marc. Being Limerick in a low-league of Ireland, how could I tell a player is "big-name". The player I am lookin at is asking for a wage increase that I believe we could better use, and with the value of 60,000 Euros, we could do alot with that to improve. He expires after this year.
I agree with you, build from the goalkeeper upwards. I love to see you post a dyansty report. Be interesting to see the creator tackle his game.

SunDancer,
From my experience, if you don't think you will be able to afford to give him a raise, or have depth in that position and could use the money elsewhere, then I would say, try and get something for him while you can. However, don't sell him for a grossly undervalued amount. In my current game with Ipswich, my two players with the highest average ratings for my first couple seasons, Marcus Bent and Matt Holland, both have contracts expiring at the end of my current season. The club will allow me to offer wages of 22k, but both of them want more than this, Bent significantly so (39k) and Holland somewhat so (25k), and neither are budging. I came to the decision to try and sell Holland as I have a very deep midfield with a couple of England Under-21 internationals, and decided I could make due there. However, Bent is pretty irreplaceable for me as I don't really have another striker who can put the goals in like he can. I came to the conclusion that keeping him on the squad for one more year and getting nothing for him would be worth more than selling him and watching the goals dry up.
Incidentally, when I put Holland up for sale, his value was about 3 million, but I was looking for 4; the best offers I got, though, were all under 2, so I decided, again, it wasn't worth it financially for that amount to sell him, so I am keeping him and resigned to losing him for free at the end of the year.

Hmm with very small teams its a harder call - on the Bright side however, very few players in a small side have enough 'pull' to cause havok for a manager (as most players are just happy to have a job and realise they aren't in enough demand to cause waves).
I actually did a dynasty report a year or so ago after the release of CM01-02 - when things quieten down again on the CM4 front I might get enough time to do a new one ...

Can you explain the impact a club rep has?

club rep - this has lots of effects within a game and it isn't something that is easy to quanity really.
A clubs reputation indicates their standing in the world of football. This is often (but not always) similar to how well known they are publicly.
Club Reputation can swell coffers by attracting supporters, it can help persuade players that yours is the club they want to play for - it can also on the other hand increase the pressure upon a manager from his chairman for success.
Generally speaking the better you do the higher this reputation climbs - it can also be boosted by off the pitch activities such as signing players etc. though.
