With the 2 new leagues, I will be running every league (95 total) when I launch my dynasty. However, I am asking you to select my opening career for me.
I will be a fresh 35-year-old Canadian (I'm really American, but hey, I want to be from a lesser-talent English-speaking conuntry).
The team I want has to be in the lowest league in their nation, have no talent as the board would give me low expectations for first year. They must have poor facilities, and financial situation in a poor state. I would like to go in this order, France, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Scotland and Portugal, in terms of finding a team.
Anyone read a dynasty if I do it?

Well, doing a career right now, and while I do not know about your other criteria, I know the caliber of player and ground sucks in the lowest level of the Scottish league compared to say, English Conference. Got no tv money either. I am $6,000 (I know, it should be pounds, but I never understood why those people weighed their money) under the wage budget and hemmoraging (brutal spelling, I know) cash. Its great.

I vote a team from either Norway, Israel, Sweden, Finland, Ukraine, or any other not quite as big soccer countries.

Italy - Castel di Sangro (Serie C2-B) you know the problems they face if you have read the book...

I second the choice of a Serie C team, that would make the most interesting read, IMHO.

One of my favorite diaries I ran over at SI Games was a Brazillian one.. because you have footy nearly the whole year around, and you get two different sets of opponents.
There is the national one (like England, go up or down based on your results, first through third division, and then you get the regional leagues, where you play teams in your area.. for example, I was tiny Rio side Bangu, and I was in the Brazillian Third Division, but I was playing teams like Botafogo and Fluminese (big time teams in the First Division) In the Rio State League. Made many a trip to the Maracana, the home of Brazillian footy

i'll second Castel di Sangro
or it would be cool if you went with a rotten D1 Irish team. Maybe Waterford?

I will go with either Castel or San Marino in Italy. How does thefour divisions decide the promotion, is their a playoff for the top four teams?
