Anyone see a 'sneek' preview? Any reviews yet? Is it any good? etc...

CNN gave good review - have to admit, I would have never thought a non-Cameron, non-Hamilton Terminator could be any good.

Ebert- down (barely. said it is too much action, not enough thought)

Roeper-up (said it is a worthy sequel)

saw it last week. great action scenes. lots of fighting and ass-kicking. that part was highly enjoyable. there was absolutely no need for a script. there is about 10 minutes of actual dialogue that matters and besides that, just fighting. there are even times when arnold tells something about the future and doesn't tell why or how it happened (if you see the movie, keep this in mind when they are in the r.v. and you will get it). the script was bad, and somehow arnold, who is supposed to be a machine, ends up having emotions and gets excited at one point. i guess i am just disappointed b/c T2 was so good. it is good if you like explosions, lots of action, and some good chase scenes. but if you want substance to go along with your flick, you might want to catch it at the matinee. all in all, i would pay to go see it, but i would go in the daytime when it is cheaper.

It sounds disappointing, because the best thing about the first 2 was the story.

I saw it on Monday and thought it was very good. I would put it on par with T2. I actually thought that the story was relatively interesting, and they even threw a little twist in at the end. The car chase scene was REALLY good, as well.

I'm thinking about going to a matinee today.

I thought T2 managed to actually transcend the action genre into being a solid drama. It is easily the best 'action' movie i've ever seen.

I'm frightened of T3.

I have not had a lot of desire to see T3 leading up to the release, even though the first 2 are two of the best movies of the genre.
I really, really thought T3 was going to suck.

However, I am hearnig some pretty promising things about it. I am not going to go in expecting it to be as good as T2, but the more I hear about it, the more I think it is actually going to be pretty decent, at the least.

There's a new Terminator movie coming out?

I think T2 was the best movie of it's kind that I've ever seen. Heck, it even worked in an anti-violence theme to a pretty violent movie. I'm disappointed that Cameron didn't direct T3, and Hamilton and the kid (Furlong) didn't return for this movie. Still, it is probably my most anticipated movie of the year. :)

How does Claire Danes look now that she is all grown up?

I dunno, but am I the only one who think's she's gotten less talented year after year?

She also ruined the one-time great musician Ben Lee, so perhaps it was some sort of mutual talent-poisoning.

I just saw it, and I didn't think it was too bad. Good action, and they added a lot more funny moments than in the previous ones. However, that said, I don't think that it is as good as the first two.

Am I the lone person in the world who thinks T2 was utter crap? Edward Furlong teaching Arnie played-out slang?? Arnold muttering "Now, I know why you cry" was laughable, at best, and the finale of his descent into molten death while giving the 'thumbs-up' left me pointing at the screen, and spewing ten-dollar soda from my nose. T2 did nothing for me but reinforce the fact that Action Movie + Child Star = Achey Groin Feeling (and not the good kind).

Yep, I think you're the lone person. T2 was awesome.

Looks pretty good, but, she actually looks a lot older than she is.

I have never seen more than 10 minutes combined of Terminator's 1-3. All I can remember is Terminator in a hallway or on a motorcycle.

I really liked T3, and actually enjoyed it more than T2.

Well, at least it was different than the first two.

I just finished watching it... here are a couple thoughts.

1-Clare Danes is a hottie.

2-The ending was certainly... different.

3-I'm getting really tired of extended car chase scenes. First the Matrix: Reloaded, now T3. Enough already.

Interesting Danes-Lee theory. My friend will be happy to know that her Ben Lee theory has a Claire Danes corollary.

I finally saw it. I thought it was very good...not excellent, but very good.

I liked the ending. (setting up #4)

I liked the chase. It had some different type of stuff in it.

I thought it was ok.

The action was good. The plot was thin. To me, it seemed liek they may have cut out a lot of the plot portion of the movie. It just seems like there are so many scenes where they "jump" in the plot. Like instead of having some great plotline process (like T2 had), they sped it along too fast. I wonder if a lot of the "process" ended up on the cutting room floor. (In which case, I'd love to see the directors cut or extended uncut version. Whatever you want to call it.)

I thought the ending was great. So :p who thought it sucked. And I did think they tied everything together really well.

My only problems were:
1) As someone said before, the androids showing emotion. But then again, that can be tied in to Arnold's "training" as to why he showed emotion.

2) As I said, the plot went too fast and they left several areas "unexplored".

3) Claire Danes and that female robot should have had a fully nude lezbo sex scene.

And those are my thoghts.

I can't believe it took someone on this board this long to hit on the best part of this movie. Kristanna Loken is a hot-T. I made a similar Claire/Kristanna remark on my way out of the movie.

I didn't think it was as good as T2, but it's better than the first one (confession: I think the first one was horrid -- it's dated, poorly acted, poorly directed and poor SFX. Cameron hadn't quite figured out moviemaking yet, if you ask me).

It seemed like the first hour of the movie was the car chase and it wasn't until that was over that you figured out plot lines, character names, etc.

I give it a thumbs up. It's not the greatest movie ever, but it's entertaining. I wouldn't call the ending odd; perhaps weak. Of course, it leaves the door wind open for a sequel. Duh.

Vote for worst line of the year: the movie had TWO "talk to the hand" jokes. I know they have been working on this script for a while. The only thing I can think of is that somehow that joke got left in from a script written in 1996.
