Sorry for the rude subject but I have been stewing over this since I heard the AVS got Teemue and Karyia and DET looks to be getting Hatcher.

Clarke stated that premeir D-men don't just fall from the sky (when Bourque was available) he didn't grab him even though he wanted to come to Philly. Also he said premeir goalies are not always available.

Well Clarkie Joseph is available again probably cheap (draft picks) and Hatcher also wanted to sign with Philly to be with Hitch again.
Who do we sign Hackett..........

Just goes to show you who is committed to winning DET, COL, NJ, NYR (at least they try) etc. and who is a have not PHILLY.

If this does not get him out of Philly nothing will ever. We will not win with Hackett and Dejardens will drop off since he has a new contract.

CLARKE YOU SUCK

Just for the record...Hitch and Hatcher aren't the best of friends. And yes, Bobby Clarke sucks. :D

oh, I think Philly is committed to winning - just that Clarke is completely inept.

I'm sure he thinks Hackett is the answer...

Clarke is an idiot. The Flyers are going to be good during the season and then lose in the playoffs because of their goaltending this year, next year, and every year until we die.

That said, at least your GM isn't on vacation while all the big names are signing.

Sad but true. You would think that playing with one of the best goallies ever in hockey would have taught Clarke the value of having a truly great goallie.

can clarke be held accountable at some point and time for his actions, if i hear ed synder say "bobbie did a good job putting a team capable of winning the stanley cup this year" ummm no he didn't and who hired the coaches he keeps firing? i like hitch and want him to stick around what happens if heaven forbid the flyers don't even make the playoffs? checkmatic was a good goalie in the reg season i have no confidence in either of the guys we have now in the reg season let alone the playoffs

Signing Hackett gives him a scapegoat next spring. He knows the routine. Don't be surprised if that contract is bought out after the playoffs next year.
