Back from Illinois

Got over my fear of flying by the third plane i was on in the past 4 days. But why do I have a layover in Minneapolis when I'm flying from Illinois to Charlotte, NC?

I see I missed the FOFC patch, makes sense.

Coffee, meant to give you a call, but I barely got to sleep. Spent most of my time shooting pool and drinking with my cousins in the basement. Man, its weird to sit around and talk with them all, and for us to all be in our 20's. I remember playing with them when I was a little kid... now half of us are out of college.

Well, I've been having computer withdrawl, this is the first time I've touched a keyboard in 4 days.

And don't worry, I got my girlfriend to touch him a few times in the airplane bathroom... damn the bathroom is small.

Because the airline that you were flying on likely has a hub in minneapolis and it's more cost effective for them to route flights through there than flying direct. Unless a flight routinely is booked to capacity direct flights are a money loser. The folks who were on the first plane with you likely were headed to many destinations and at the hub they can catch other planes and the airline killed many birds with one stone so to speak.

There's more to it than that of course but that will do for a first lesson. :D
