6000 passing yards? 72 Touchdowns? What the heck kind of offense are you using?

Is there any indication he's actually his son, and not just a random name with jr. added to it?

He is Artie Calvin's son... Artie was a HOF running back for my North Platte Dynasty in 2012-2015, Artie Calvin Jr was a HOF QB for the same Dynasty and he played in 2046-49... So, Yeah He is a son of one of my Hall of fame running backs...

I have found that you have to wait about 20 years after a player has been inducted to the HOF, his kid might show up to recruit but this doesn't happen all the time... I have managed to only get 3 legacy recruits since I've been playing the game (bought TCY when it first came out).

I can't remember because I played this dynasty when the game first came out, so it was about 2 1/2 years ago...

Yeah, 72 td's, it was a All-Out-Passing attack but that was when I was first playing the game a couple of years ago... Now I like to run the ball and control the clock play great defence...

Also, I think 88 Td's is the most Passing td's a QB has thrown for my team, I'll have to see if I can find that dynasties records...

I'm both stunt and wondering with a big question mark on this...
It is indeed troubling that he wears the .jr after his name..and that he appeared some 20 years after his supposed father;

I would just like to hear from Jim or any other person who knows if this is indeed a TCY feature or if all this is a matter of coincidences...

anyways it's really troubling to me.

Did he go to the same high school as his papa?

Why does this bother you, it happens in the game... It has happened to me 3 times since I've owned the game. I guess it's a easter egg, but I don't know... All I know is that it has happened and I will continue to search for them in my current Husker dynasty because it just add's so much to the game... God I play this game way too much...

I messed up, you have to wait around 30 years after a player has been inducted to find his son;

Artie Calvin RB played 2012-15

Artie Calvin Jr. Qb played 2046-49

My qustion stands though. How do you know he's that guys son, and not just a guy with the same name (there are tons of them) with Jr added onto it (lots of those)?

The idolised part I'll give you, but if you have developed an incredible high power team, as it appears, it could just be a situation where one coincidence (the name) has compounded with another(idolised).

There are similarities with all Jr. Players I've came across;

They idolize the team their father went to.

For every Jr. recruit there is a HOF player on the team he Idolizes with the same name, not always the same position, only about 30 years earlier.

They have similar height and weight.

Plus, I use my imagination when playing this game so, to me they are son's of ex-players...

I have seen this as well where the recruits will idolize their fathers teams and show up around 25 years later, however I have only had 2 of them.

That is all you needed to say.

Takes it from the realm of game feature to the realm of your game play. With, that I could not, and would not broker an argument. In fact, more power to you for adding a rich backdrop to the game.

Well that makes two people who have now experienced this.
Sounds like this may indeed be a feature or an easter egg, as mentionned.

As for me the "jury's still out" but I admit I'm more and more convinced -after reading the last few posts- that this is meant on purpose by Jim.

I was wondering if anybody else found Jr. Recruits???? and if you found them, what were their names????

I was looking back on some of my old posts and this one sticks out. I have been wondering if anybody else found Jr. Recruits because I'm starting to think I've played this game too much. Two 1/2 years and still going strong, playing with my old Husker dynasty tonight.

What do you all think of Jr. Recruits....

In FOF4 I've seen Kurt Warner, Jr. (QB) and Lester Ewbank Jr. (a Safety, his dad was a HOF QB). I thought this was pretty cool too!

The really interesting thing was that when you went to edit the name the Jr. was not part of it, but whatever you changed the kid's name to the Jr. part would still be there.

The Jr. is probably a flag set in the player file then (A TRUE/FALSE boolean variable).

I've noticed Jr's before I think. Seemed to be the same name as before

Hey, 5000 yards passing and 50 Td's isn't uncommon--- Just take a look at B.J. Simmons of Texas Tech, he throws for a ton of yards...:D
