This is like coming back as an adult to the house in which you grew up. You can tell that it is the same house, but so many things have been changed around. The walls have been painted. The new occupants knocked down a few walls and built an addition onto the side of the house. The kitchen has been remodeled and there are cats sleeping on the floor where your dog used to sleep.

And the worst part of all is that you know it isn't your house anymore. After the short visit, you will have to leave and go back to your new house.

You left without telling anyone. You go away for what? A year, 2 years? Then you just come back out of nowhere, and expect us to open our arms and take you back in with a great big giant hug? *fighting tears* Do you know how long we sat and waited for you to come back that night 2 years ago? I was young, stupid, and drunk. I had my sights on bigger and better things. I wanted to really be somebody.

Now I'm living in a cardboard box in the big city begging for spare change.
