Man, HBO has been showing this a lot lately, and I am hoooked.

What a great show. The combination of wacky storylines with improved acting just meshes perfectly.

My favorite moment from the show is the one where Sheryl's aunt dies, and Larry is consoling Sheryl's whole family.

Then Larry stands up and says, "I think I'm gonna' leave."

Everybody's sort of stunned, and Sheryl says, "Well, where are you gonna' go?" (she's very frustrated)

Larry replies, "I was thinking I might play golf..."

I was out of my chair laughing on that one. This show is just about as funny as Family Guy, IMO. And I like it a lot better than Seinfeld. Here's to hoping they put out a DVD soon.

I love that show... can't wait for new episodes. My favorite was when he bought the gift for his agent's mom, but he didn't know how to wrap it so he was going around asking people on the streer, "Excuse me, can you tell me where I can get this gift wrapped?"

Best comedy on tv! One of my favorite moments was when he was waiting outside a movie theatre and telling his wife how Hitler had a orchestra play inside his house on Eva Browns birthday so she could wake up to Vagner (sp?). So he starts humming a Vagner tune. This guy comes up to him and says "Excuse me, are you Jewish?" And a classi Larry David reply, stunned, "What? Whatya wanna see my penis?

I have to disagree. Having never seen this show before, but hearing the rave reviews here and elsewhere I downloaded a few highly ranked episodes. I forced myself though the first one (Affirmative Action) and couldn't finish the second (The Benadryl Brownie). Terribly boring and dull with only a couple standout moments in each. I'll take Seinfeld reruns anyway.

I describe the show as "Seinfeld with bad acting."

I think it's OK, but just don't understand everyone going so crazy over it.

I've only seen a handful of episodes, thanks to the fact that HBO is so far off my radar I never even check the listings to see what's on, but I love what I've seen so far.

Isn't Seinfeld full of bad acting?

I've only seen a couple episodes of this show, but I loved them. Hard to say how it could seem like bad acting when it's supposed to be mostly ad-libbed.

On the contrary, I like it because it plays out much more like real life than even Seinfeld. The conversations are the typically mundane kind we have at home, without all the funny and absurd outcomes, of course. That's what makes it so great.

Man, I'll tell you what this show is absolutely FANTASTIC! Just saw it for the first time this evening on HBO.. They actually had 2 Episodes (Re-runs), the first one being the "Jewish Penis" one atatange1 mentioned previously and the following episode about Larry and Elaine from Seinfeld pitching a show to HBO Execs, one of which Larry thinks took his Shrimp in a bag mishap at the Chinese Takeout place... And don't forget the C-word Reference late in the show.. Classic Stuff.

Great show, I'm just sorry it's taken me so long to check it out. How many Seasons/Episodes have there been thus far anyway?
