"The first night's the toughest, no doubt about it. They march you in naked as the day you were born, skin burning and half blind from that delousing shit they throw on you, and when they put you in that cell... and those bars slam home...that's when you know it's for real. A whole life blown away in the blink of an eye. Nothing left but all the time in the world to think about it."

Last season the Shaw Shanksters had a record of 3-11-0 in v.83. Go check out v.83 on Hatstats just to see how tough that division is. The season before that we went 1-13-0.

We finally get to escape out of v.83 and receive a new life outside of division 5. The problem is that we are not going up, but we are going down towards hell. Also known as division 6.

This season we have new hope that we can preform well and make money.

"Let me tell you something my friend. Hope is a dangerous thing. Hope can drive a man insane."

The roster and team overview will be coming soon.

As you can see the Shaw Shanksters' economy is not in great shape. Hopefully a winning season combined with going deep into the US cup should make some big bucks. The Shaw Shanksters' youth squad is getting close to the excellent level.

I read this article a while back, that said that Microsoft employs more millionaire secretary's that any other company in the world. They took stock options over Christmas bonuses. It was a good move. I remember there was this picture, of one of the groundskeepers next to his Ferrari. Blew my mind. you see shit like that, and it just plants seeds, makes you think its possible, even easy. And then you turn on the TV, and there's just more of it. The $87 Million lottery winner, that kid actor that just made 20 million o his last movie, that internet stock that shot through the roof, you could have made millions if you had just gotten in early, and that's exactly what I wanted to do: get in. I didn't want to be an innovator any more, i just wanted to make the quick and easy buck, i just wanted in. The Notorious BIG said it best: "Either you're slingin' crack-rock, or you've got a wicked jump-shot." Nobody wants to work for it anymore. There's no honor in taking that after school job at Mickey Dee's, honor's in the dollar, kid. So I went the white boy way of slinging crack-rock: I became a stock broker.

The first youth pull of the new season. This week I decided to pull a keeper so I could sell one of my other keepers. So on with the pulling...

Stanley Jack (14256517)
20 years, passable form, healthy

A popular guy who is balanced and honest.
Has disastrous experience and poor leadership abilities.

Assessed value: 317 000 US$

Goaltending: solid

Not only is this guy a clown, but he has the talent to go along with it. He is a definatly going to stay with the team. I will probaly be selling Santiago Benedit my B team keeper.

This next quote is how happy I feel after this magnificent youth pull.

[singing] Do you really think you'll surivive in here?/You don't seem to know which creek you're in!/Sweet corn is the only thing that makes it through my rear!/How do you think I keep this lovely grin?

The B Team Buzz Report gives up to date news on the Shaw Shanksters' B team and tells what players are playing great with the B Team.

The B Team just finished a three week tour of Sweden. The B Team was able to study how Swedish player play and checkout their strategies. Overall it was a great learning experince for the B Team.

Nej Till Bron BK 4 - Shaw Shanksters 0
Stubborn United 4 - Shaw Shanksters 0
L.A BOIS 1 - Shaw Shanksters 10

The first two weeks did not go over so well, but we ended our tour with a ten goal blow out. Kenneth Beck was able to score 4 of the goals.

This weeks B Team player Spotlight goes to Herb Willey.

Over this tour he always seemed to be doing something. At the wingback position he was able to play consistently well. He could be moving up to the A Team if I sell one of my wingbacks.

While I have time I will give out the Season 19 team awards.

Rookie of the Year: Kenneth Beck -Striker- 4 goals 2 star avg.
MVP: Jon Gunter -Inner Mid- 0 goals 2.5 star avg.

Kenneth Beck started off hot by scoring 4 goals in the first 3 games, but as the season went on he was totally shut down. No one else really challeneged him for the title of ROY.

Jon Gunter only played about 6 weeeks of the season. Missed a lot of the time because of a bad knee injury. Once he came back our midfield was playing very well and we started playing competitve again. He was really missed while he was out with a knee injury.

Today we finally got a sneek peek at our new division. We have been relegated to... (drumroll please)

Series: VI.541

As suspected all the teams in this series except for us are bot teams. It looks like we will be traveling to some very interesting places like Hawaii, Las Vegas, and to Texas twice. The teamthat promoted out of this series was a bot team called the Miami Samurai.

Here is a complete run down of the new series.

Series: VI.541 (27877)

Country: USA
Level: 6 out of 6

Team Played Goals Points
1. Shaw_Shanksters 0 0 - 0 0

2. Philadelphia Heroes 0 0 - 0 0
3. Texas Pharaos 0 0 - 0 0
4. Las Vegas Eagles 0 0 - 0 0
5. Vermont Samurais 0 0 - 0 0
6. Texas Eagles 0 0 - 0 0
7. Hawaii Bears 0 0 - 0 0
8. Arizona Pharaos 0 0 - 0 0

In other news the new broadcast team for Shaw Shankster games has been annouced. Play by Play will be done by former Shaw Shanksters' coach Jimmie Killian and the color commentary will be done by international soccer superstar Pelé (if you are a soccer fan and do not know who he is then you should slap yourself now).

Their is much excitement in the air as loyal Shaw Shanksters get ready for a new season and a new beginning to this club.

The Shaw Shanksters are looking foward to a rebirth after being relegated to division 6. They are looking to lose their image as big time losers. There is no doubt about it they are the most talented teamin their series. What the Shaw Shanksters will need to do this season is stay healthy and also get good vetran leadership.

At this level the Shaw Shanksters midfield should dominate all opponets. The biggest weakness for the Shaw Shanksters is their lack of a talented foward. GM/Owner Superman 54 has made a commitment to get playmaker at foward once the Shaw Shanksters can get out of debt.

Jon Gunter and Freddie Yanez should provide good leadership as one of the few remaining original members of the Shaw Shanksters. Also another important factor will be the bench players. Two key players off the bench will be Jaun Luis Valverde and Lewis Spencer. Jaun Luis has been struggling with his form which lead to him being demoted to the B team. Lewis Spencer has had two major knee injuries during season 19.

It should be an interesting season for the Shaw Shanksters. My prediction is that the Shaw Shanksters will have an undefeated season.

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to another exciting season of Shaw Shankster soccer. Today the Shaw Shanksters will play White Sox Pride. It will be A team versus A team. It will be 3-5-2 versus 4-5-1. It should be a really interesting match.

Pele's match up
Midfield: I give the advantage to WSP as they have more talent and experince.
Defense: The 4-5-1 is specially made for defense so WSP should have a stout defense today.
Offense: The Shaw Shanksters have good offensive wingers and midfielders.

White Sox Pride (IV.7) @ Shaw Shanksters (VI.541)

1st Half

In the game's 10:th minute White´s Stefan Björkén limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue.

Halftime score was 0 - 0. White held the ball, with a clear 58 percent possession rate.

A very boring first half here at Freeman park. No much action here as it was basically a stalemate between the two teams. We can only hope for more action in the second half.

2nd Half

White took the lead after 51 minutes with 0 - 1. Tim Baugh placed the ball out of reach for the home sides keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left.

55 minutes into the game Kirk Wilson had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came Juan Luis Valverde.

The visitors Stefan Björkén took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side´s goalie and full backs in the 59:th minute. 0 - 2 for White.

After 74 minutes Whites Chad Tate had to be carried off on a stretcher in agony. Peter Linin came in instead of him.

White held the ball, with a clear 64 percent possession rate.

Shaw_Shanksters´s best player was Freddie Yanez. Claudio Dell'Asta on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating White player was without a doubt David Dewitt. Stefan Björkén on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 2.

It was a great match as the Shaw Shanksters were able to hang with WSP, but came up short and lost 2-0. It was a good tune-up match for the Shaw Shanksters. Looks like the Shanksters will be able to make a deep run into the US Cup tournament. Now its time for Pele's point.

Pele's Point: We saw the effects of Hattrick 6.5 on today's match. As our team captain and most experinced player Freddie Yanez received the best ratings of his playing career today. The game has changed and this should make things more interesting in Hattrick.

Injuries
Shaw Shanksters: Kirk Wilson (2 weeks)
WSP: Chad Tate (5 weeks)

Out of the three players we put on the market only the 29 year old solid winger Lewis Spencer was sold. I will give more details later on after the Cup match report.

I will make no line-up changes so everything will be final. We still are PIC this match.

My idea for FOFC Cup IV has received rave reviews and looks like it may be the next format for the FOFC Cup. The NCAA tournament idea looks to be very exciting if it gets picked.

The Shaw Shanksters are still wanting to get out of debt more on that later after the cup match.

Good Luck to all the FOFC teams hopefully not many injuries and lots of wins!

Welcome Shaw Shanksters soccer fans to South Dakota. It is a dark and rainy day and the field looks pretty bad, we will see how it affects our players. This match marks the opening of the US Cup. Shaw Shanksters' Coach Nate Henderson has said that he will have his players be cool. He does not want his team's spirit to be tested to early in the season. Well its time for the match to start...

Pele's Match-up
Midfield: The Shaw Shanksters midifeld will still be strong even without one of its best.
Defense: The Shanksters defensive line will be weakened by a few unusual faces in the defensive line, but they should still play better than the opposition.
Offense: The Shanksters may be equal at the foward position they have a better offensive wings and midfielders.

Shaw Shanksters (VI.541) @ South Dakota Pharaos (VI.206)

First Half

Pharaoss Vern Fields gave, after 3 minutes, the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right.

The visitors didn´t give in and after 4 minutes Claudio Dell'Asta got through the home sides central line of defense, rolling in the levelling goal to make it 1 - 1

The referee showed Shaw_Shanksterss Bryan Quigley the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.

Some beautiful plays on the left side of the field resulted in a 23rd minute goal by Jack Hollingsworth for Pharaos, putting them ahead 2 - 1.

In the games 38:th minute the visitors levelled to 2 - 2 as Anders Dahlström struck home on a bar rebound, following a shot from the right.

The teams went for a half-time break at 2 - 2. Shaw_Shanksters held the ball, with a clear 60 percent possession rate.

The Pharaos really came out and challenged the Shaw Shanksters defense and midfield. Their attack never really let up. We did hold the possesion percentage, but missed a few good chances to score some more goals. The defense will have to step it up in the second half.

The terraces were silenced in the 54:th minute as Shaw_Shanksters´s Kenneth Beck put the guests ahead 2 - 3, following an attack from the right.

Pharaos's Royce Lozano scored 3 - 3 by shooting accurately and hard from a long distance, leaving the opponent goalie no other option than to pick up the ball from the net.

Shaw_Shanksters took the lead in the games 69:th minute with 3 - 4 after some elegant plays down the middle. Kenneth Beck was the scorer.

Anders Dahlström increased the visitors lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 3 - 5.

The visitors Freddie Yanez took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side´s goalie and full backs in the 82nd minute. 3 - 6 for Shaw_Shanksters.

Shaw_Shanksters held the ball, with a clear 68 percent possession rate.

Most important Pharaos player was Weldon Ricks. Ian Smalley was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Shaw_Shanksters player was without a doubt Freddie Yanez. However, Cãlin Dincã made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 6.

The defense did not play so well today, but the offense was able to score a whole bunch of goals. The most important thing was that the Shaw Shanksters were able to advance to the next round. We should be able to preform better in the future. Now its time for Pele's point.

Pele's Point: The PIC can be a good thing to lift a team's spirit. It also makes players lazy while in the field. It mostly affects the midfield play when a PIC is in effect. Coaches can find it hard to make sure that players are doing what they are supposed to be doing.

Now an update on my favorite player, Ernest Quarles.

Hello fans and supporters of the Shaw Shanksters soccer club. I am your General Manager Superman54. I am just give you a little overview of the present and the future of the Shaw Shanksters. First let us start with the present.

We are not happy to be relegated to division six, but we feel that we should have a great season while in division six. I did not make many moves in the off-season. We did not get the big time foward we needed or another midfielder. Right now our economy is still in a pretty bad situation. The only way to cure that is by better fan attendence. Hopefully with a succesfull season we can bring back the fans to the newly renovated Freeman Park. Once this team's economy can get better I will do everyting in my power to bring more talent to this club.

There is a few good things about this club. First off our amazing youth squad. We have a very deep and talented players in our minor league youth squad. Stanly Jack and Ruben Burgess are two amazing rookies from the youth squad that should be fun to watch as the season progresses. We expect more great players from our youth squad in the future.

Recently a few of our players complained about a lack of playing time. Three players were put on the transfer market. Only Lewis Spencer was able to find a new club. He was sold and went to FC Blades United which is an English club. We wish him goodluck with his new team. The other two players, Dudley Pritchard and Joshua McDuffie, were given a choice of stay with the club or be fired. Pritchard decided to stay and McDuffie decided to retire from soccer.

For the future we plan to be back to division five by next year. By then we should have solved our economic problems and should be out of debt by then. I have totally commited myself to making this team better and getting them all the way to the top.

Shaw Shanksters fans enjoy this season and do not be afraid to come down to Freeman Park to enjoy a soccer match.

1. Santiago Benedit - Passable Keeper Sold for $75,000

3. Ruben Burgess - 18 year old Passable defender worth $40,000

A very versatile player. He could play winger, foward, midfielder, or wingback. Rusty may be the jack of all trades, but he is the master of none. I don't know if I should trade him or keep him??? Any of you interested in this player?

Welcome Shaw Shankster fans to the opening of league play. Today the Shaw Shanksters face the Philadelphia Heroes. There has been a line-up change for the Shaw Shanksters. J.L. Valverde has been replaced by Rusty Quinn in the inner midfielder spot. We shall see what this rookie can do. Coach Nate Henderson continues to play it cool in Shaw Shankster matches. Our cup match-up was announced yesterday and it will be a home game versus a division 6 team. More on that after the game. Now its time for Pele's Match-up sponsered by Budweiser.

Pele's Match-up
Midfield: Not even close even with the rookie Quinn starting.
Offense: We have a the advantage here with the wingers and midfielders bringing most of the offense.
Defense: Lewis, Denson, and Quigley should have it easy during this game I don't think many balls we get past the midfield.

League Match
Philadelphia Heroes @ Shaw Shanksters

First Half

Shaw_Shanksters took the lead in the 4:th minute of the game by 1 to 0, as Juan Antonio Barrera Rodríguez elegantly received a pass going deep, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar.

Freddie Yanez increased Shaw_Shanksterss lead to 2 - 0 by putting a header away on a hooked ball from the right.

A well placed corner kick from Freddie Yanez was followed by Paul Adamson´s hard but accurate header. The nice combination meant 3-0 for Shaw_Shanksters.

Shaw_Shanksters's Freddie Yanez scored 4 - 0 by shooting accurately and hard from a long distance, leaving the opponent goalie no other option than to pick up the ball from the net.

In the 41st minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Herbert Denson dashed through, knocking home 5 - 0 for Shaw_Shanksters.

Philadelphias Wesley Clary got himself booked after a foul. The Shaw_Shanksters player was Freddie Yanez who had to be helped off the pitch, unable to finish the game.

In the 42nd minute Shaw_Shanksters put themselves up 6 - 0. The visitors defenders lost the ball to Kenneth Beck coming up from the left, who proceeded to cooly round the goaltender and knock the ball home.

The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Shaw_Shanksters, with an impressive 73 percent possession of the ball.

Freddie Yanez really dominated the first half. The first half ended on a bad note when Freddie Yanez went down with an injury. When Yanez went down he was holding his back and screaming and had to be carried off in a stretcher. This injury can really ruin the Shaw Shanksters' season because he was the MVP for this team. The good news is that we have a six goal lead. Now its time for the second half.

Second Half

Shaw_Shanksters put themselves up 7 - 0 when Herb Willey broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him.

In the 76:th minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Juan Antonio Barrera Rodríguez dashed through, knocking home 8 - 0 for Shaw_Shanksters.

In the 76:th minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Rusty Quinn dashed through, knocking home 9 - 0 for Shaw_Shanksters.

Shaw_Shanksters, bringing the final ball possession rate to 71 percent, dominated the battle.

Most important Shaw_Shanksters player was Rickard Hörnsjö. Juan Antonio Barrera Rodríguez on the other hand, had a terrible day. Philadelphia´s best player was Shaun Carter. Nacho Hernández on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 9 - 0.

Avery big game for the Shaw Shanksters as they win the league opener 9-0, but suffer a serious loss by losing winger and team captain Freddie Yanez. The season is not over, but if they want to go far they will need Freddie Yanez. Now it is time for Pele's Point sponsered by Pepsi.

Pele's Point: With the injury of Freddie Yanez not only do you lose a talented player, but you also lose the team leader and a very popular and nice player in the clubhouse. This injury is bad and hopefully the team can survive through it.

Former fan favorite tries to regain fan support

Claudio Dell'Asta was on the transfer wire when the Shaw Shanksters brought him in to revive a struggling offense. When Claudio came to the Shaw Shanksters he was called the "Canadian Crusher". Now after getting into fights with coaches and struggling with form he has not scored a noteworthy goal in a while. He is no longer is called the "Canadian Crusher", now he is cursed at and many fans have wanted to get rid of him. With Kenneth Beck looking more and more like the stud foward that the Sahw Shanksters wanted, Claudio's job looks to be in limbo. When GM Superman54 was asked what Claudio's future was with the team all he said was, "His future is very questionable and he could be put on the transfer wire at any time."
Most of his team mates like him. If Claudio wants to stay with the Shaw Shanksters he will need to have a great season. Only 20 years old he still has a long time to figure things out with his soccer career. The fans may not like him no more and either does the local media. Many consider Kenneth Beck to be the more talented and fan friendly player. Right now Claudio remains in the three player rotation at foward for the Shaw Shanksters, but his time is limited. Claudio Dell'Asta is at a crossroad in his career. Hopefully he can take the right path.

Welcome to another exciting day of Shaw Shanksters' soccer. Its a hot day and the stadium is packed with fans. Today we face Kicks United FC in round two of the US Cup. With the injury of Freddie Yanez, Jon Gunter has been promoted to team captain. Again Coach Henderson will be playing it cool to keep spirit up. It should be an interesting match-up between a 3-5-2 and a 4-3-3. Now it is time for Pele's Match-up sponsered by Cheese.

Pele's Match-up
Midfield: The Shaw Shanksters have a decided adavantage with three midfielder to two.
Offense: With three fowards I will have to give the advantage to Kicks United.
Defense: The Shaw Shanksters defensive line may be one of the best in division 6.

Attendance: 16,701
Weather: Sunny
Attitude: PIC
Formation: 3-5-2

First Half

The 5:th minute saw the home team take a 1 - 0 lead after a leak in the visitors right side defense. Scorer for Shaw_Shanksters was Jon Gunter.

In the 38:th minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Kenneth Beck dashed through, knocking home 2 - 0 for Shaw_Shanksters.

In the 41st minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Rusty Quinn dashed through, knocking home 3 - 0 for Shaw_Shanksters.

A couple of quick and successful challenges, followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area after 42 minutes might have resulted in another goal for Shaw_Shanksters. However, Mark Simmons made a spectacular save.

A wondeful first half for the Shaw Shanksters. No cards, injuries, and a 3 goal lead. What more could you ask for? The midfield has been dominating and there have been plenty of scoring chances. I don't want to jinx the team, but this game is in the bag. Well lets hope the game keeps going well for the Shaw Shanksters. This packed house has not been dissapointed so far this game.

Second Half

In the 51st minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Ruben Burgess dashed through, knocking home 4 - 0 for Shaw_Shanksters.

Shaw_Shanksters put their lead ahead another goal as Anders Dahlström struck home the 5 - 0 goal, after an attack from the left setting him up unmarked with the keeper.

Shaw_Shanksters put themselves up 6 - 0 when Kenneth Beck broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him.

Kenneth Beck squirmed himself through the central defense line in the 75:th minute, asserting the lead to 7 - 0. By then Kenneth Beck was a three time scorer - a hat trick!

The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Shaw_Shanksters, with an impressive 81 percent possession of the ball.

Most important Shaw_Shanksters player was Stanley Jack. Claudio Dell'Asta on the other hand, had a terrible day :( . The most dominating United player was without a doubt Cletus Mims. Bobby Joe Terrell on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 7 - 0.

Another dominating match for the Shaw Shanksters. This team is dominating like never before seen. In my personal opinion I think the Shaw Shanksters can make a deep run into the cup. Hopefully Coach Henderson can play his cards right and maybe they can get Freddie Yanez back soon. The Shaw Shankster fans sure seemed excited and looks like a bright future for the Shanksters. In other news Claudio Dell'Asta continues his slump, while Beck scores a hattrick. Now it is time for Pele's Point sponsered by Malcom Glazer.

Pele's Point
When Coach Henderson started to PIC games the Shaw Shanksters gave up three goals to a bot team and had a wretched midfield. Now that the Shaw Shanksters have maximum team spirit and maximum confidence the Shaw Shanksters put up a weak midfield and a shutout. Coach Henderson has got his team into a great position to make a run in the US Cup.

Once the Shaw Shanksters are eliminated from the US Cup, which might be in the next round. The Shaw Shanksters will stop training keepers and start training wingers. After reviewing the roster I have decided that training wingers would be most effective with our current roster. We have found a few good prospects to train and here is the list of players that will be the target of our winger training.

1. Anders Dahlstrom/18 years old/Inadequate Winger/Solid Passer
2. Rusty Quinn/18 years old/Inadequate Winger/Inadequate Passer
3. Herb Willey/18 years old/Inadequate Winger/Poor Passer
4. Dudley Pritchard/23 years old/Passable Winger/Inadequate Passer
5. Paul Adamson/20 years old/Inadequate Winger/Weak Passer

Those 5 will be the main focus of our winger training. It looks like will be pulling a keeper this week for our youth pull. I want to sell Rickard Hornsjo to get us closer to being out of debt. I will have the training update sometime tomorrow morning until then. PEACE!

I have been here for a few hours now and I was able to look at the stadium. Texas Eagles arena looked pretty odd compared to the stadiums we had played in before. I did not know that sand pitched arenas were allowed in soccer.

In spite of that we will still win. We are going to mess with Texas and get away with it!

It should be an interesting match. Now it is times for Pele's Match-up sponsered by Directv.

Pele's Point
Midfield: Jon Gunter takes a day off, but the midfield should still be strong enough.
Offense: Beck and Dell'Asta are both getting hot.
Defense: Quigly, Denson, and Lewis should have no prblem with the Eagles' offense.

Shaw Shanksters @ Texas Eagles

Attendance: 5,987

Formation: 3-5-2

First Half

Shaw_Shanksters had to manage with a reduced squad from the 21st minute on, as Anders Dahlström got sent off for a foul in a free situation.

Kenneth Beck had a good try in the 25:th minute, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide.

After 32 minutes Shaw_Shanksterss Claudio Dell'Asta made his way through the middle, putting the visitors up 0 - 1.

Halftime score was 0 - 1. Shaw_Shanksters held the ball, with a clear 72 percent possession rate.

A very tough first half for the Shaw Shanksters. Playing with a full squad is hard enough, but playing with one man down is near impossible. Hopefully the Shaw Shanksters can guard their small lead in the second half.

Second Half

Shaw_Shanksters´s Kenneth Beck made it through the home teams defence in the 60:th minute, and had only to place the ball in an unguarded goal when the home side´s defender sprang up from the left, clearing the ball on the line.

The visitors Rusty Quinn took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side´s goalie and full backs in the 61st minute. 0 - 2 for Shaw_Shanksters.

Ronnie Simmons kept the home side in the game with a magnificient save, as Kenneth Beck delivered an almost perfect free kick to the far cross bar.

The game had been on for 65 minutes when Kenneth Beck broke through to the right, upping the score to the home crowd´s dismay. Shaw_Shanksters´s were up 0 - 3.

Shaw_Shanksters, bringing the final ball possession rate to 79 percent, dominated the battle.

The most dominating Eagles player was without a doubt Mikey Muncy. Ray Noble was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Shaw_Shanksters player was without a doubt Rickard Hörnsjö. However, Juan Luis Valverde made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 3.

Well it was an interesting game after Anders Dahlstrom was ejected from the game. The Shaw Shanksters were able to hold their lead and add to it. Rickard Hornsjo did an excellent job with only a one goal lead and kept this team going. The Shaw Shanksters are still in first and hope to have a great cup game this Wendsday. Now it is time for Pele's Point sponsered by NFL Sunday Ticket.

Pele's Point
Many teams do not take the keeper position on their team very seriously. If you have a great midfield and defense thats great. When two evenly matched teams face off it all goes down to the keepers. You can never spend to much money on the keeper.

Welcome fans to the biggest match of this season for the Shaw Shanksters. Today the Shaw Shanksters face a division 4 team by the name of the Alekas Boys. Currently they are in first place in series IV.24. With two of the Shaw Shanksters' best players, Anders Dahlstrom and Freddie Yanez, not being able to partcipate this will make this match even harder. Well it should be a very interesting match-up. Now it is time for Pele's Match-up by Directv.

Pele's Match-up
Offense: It might be the only advantage that the Shaw Shanksters have in this match.
Defense: Alekas Boy's defensive line is very impressive and is definately better.
Midfield: I give it to Alekas Boys, but I think that it should be pretty even in the midfield.

Alekas Boys (IV.24) @ Shaw Shanksters (VI.541)

Attendance: 17,124 (Sellout)
Weather: Clouds, Threat of Rain
Attitude: MOTS
Formation: 3-5-2

First Half

7 minutes into the game Virgilio Lira was a hair´s breadth away from giving alekas the lead. A prompt block by Stanley Jack saved the home team that time.

After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Shaw_Shanksters´s Bryan Quigley got himself booked.

Shaw_Shanksters were very close to putting themselves one up in the 12th minute as Kenneth Beck got through, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide.

After a fine move down the middle Claudio Dell'Asta nearly gave the home side one up in the 21st minute.

alekas took the lead in the games 30:th minute with 0 - 1 after some elegant plays down the middle. Carl Whalen was the scorer.

The teams went for a half-time break at 0 - 1. alekas held the ball, with a clear 54 percent possession rate.

A very frustrating first half for the Shaw Shanksters. They had a couple of shots, but were unable to take advantage. Dell'Asta and Beck both had some great shots to score goals. Hopefully the Shaw Shanksters can get some more chances to score in the second half. Stanley Jack has played very well so far and has kept the Shaw Shanksters in the game so far. Now it is time for the second half to begin.

Second Half

The game had been on for 62 minutes when Virgilio Lira broke through to the right, upping the score to the home crowd´s dismay. alekas´s were up 0 - 2.

alekas, bringing the final ball possession rate to 67 percent, dominated the battle.

Shaw_Shanksters´s best player was Stanley Jack. Claudio Dell'Asta on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important alekas player was Jan Briscoe. Forest Fountain on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 2.

The Shaw Shanksters played very well in this game. They had there oppurtunties to score and they played a very good defensive game. This team played it's heart out, but came away with a 2-0 loss. Now it is time for Pele's Point.

This team played a great game, but a lack of a dominate striker really hurt them in this game. Management has said that they would like to go after a big time striker once they can straighten out their financial situation. I think that is a great idea. Every team needs an experinced striker thats not afraid to take big shots in big games.

Just a short training update this week. This will be our last week of keeper training.

The only real news to report is that Rickard Hornsjo popped to solid.

Youth Pull will be tomorrow.

This match could be a little tough for the Shaw Shanksters after the MOTS loss to the Alekas Boys. I am confident that our defense will hold up and we should score 4-5 goals. Another easy league win against another damn bot! In other news we have arranged a friendly with Condors and we currently have three keepers on the transfer wire.

Welcome fans to another day of Shaw Shanksters soccer. Today the Shaw Shanksters get to take their favorite road trip of the year, thats right we are in Hawaii. The only bad thing about being here has been the weather as it has been pretty stormy for the whole time we have been here. Hopefully the Shaw Shanksters did not do to much drinking. On another note this should be Rickard Hornsjo's last match with the Shaw Shanksters, because he has been put on the transfer wire. Well it should be a good game. Now it is time for Pele's Match-up sponsered by Directv.

Pele's Match-up
Midfield: There is not even a contest here.
Defense: The usual three will start along with Rickard Hornsjo.
Offense: Dell'Asta and Beck are both in good form and with Anders returning they should have no problem.

Attendance: 3,335

Formation: 3-5-2

First Half

A mistake by the home sides central defence in the 4:th minute allowed Jon Gunter to score 0 - 1 for Shaw_Shanksters.

The away team´s Claudio Dell'Asta took advantage of a mistake to the home side´s right in the 25:th minute increasing Shaw_Shanksters´s lead to 0 - 2.

In the 27:th minute the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 3 as Kirk Wilson finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick.

The teams went for a half-time break at 0 - 3. Shaw_Shanksters held the ball, with a clear 77 percent possession rate.

A pretty easy first half for the Shaw Shanksters. We had three different players score including two midfielders. The midfield and offense was very dominate. Well lets try to keep this up in the second half.

Second Half

The away team´s Paul Adamson took advantage of a mistake to the home side´s right in the 52nd minute increasing Shaw_Shanksters´s lead to 0 - 4.

Shaw_Shanksterss Quinton Lewis had to be carried off on a stretcher in agony. Bryan Quigley came in instead of him.

Kirk Wilson hit the ball just perfect in the 84:th minute and could score for Shaw_Shanksters with a fab long shot to 0 - 5.

The away team´s Claudio Dell'Asta took advantage of a mistake to the home side´s right in the 87:th minute increasing Shaw_Shanksters´s lead to 0 - 6.

The visitors Kenneth Beck took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side´s goalie and full backs in the 87:th minute. 0 - 7 for Shaw_Shanksters.

The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Shaw_Shanksters, with an impressive 76 percent possession of the ball.

The most dominating Hawaii player was without a doubt Wallace Copeland. Albert Beebe was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Shaw_Shanksters player was without a doubt Jon Gunter. Juan Luis Valverde on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 7.

Well it was another easy win for the Shaw Shanksters. The amazing thing about this game was that Coach Henderson never pulled his offense back in this game. The Shaw Shanksters were attacking all the way to the end of the game. The Quinton Lewis injury was not to bad as he should only be out for 3 weeks and the Shaw Shanksters have good depth in their defense. Now it is time for Pele's Point sponsered by Directv.

Pele's Point
Different coaches can do different things for your team. Nate Henderson of the Shaw Shanksters is an offensive minded coach. Even with a five goal lead in in the 84th minute he still had his team attacking and they scored two more goals. Offensive coaches can be good for the fans and some owners prefer offensive coaches.
