As frogman is inactive for the week after auto-promoting, figured I'd fire up the thread. :)


So who all has what should be suspenseful games this week? I've got 3 Criollo slots open.

Frankfort United (8533) has a virtual walkover against a terrible bot team, even by bot team standards.

Jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead, which is always nice.

After 11 minutes Fear put themselves up by 0 - 1 as Marcelo Lanza finished off a strike from the left with a real cannon placed at the far post.

The home side conceded a walk over, losing 5-0, since they couldn´t muster the minimum of 9 players able to play the game.The home crowd was not amused… The match ends 0 - 5.

The away team´s Marcelo Lanza took advantage of a mistake to the home side´s right in the 15:th minute increasing Fear´s lead to 0 - 2.

Some fine manouvering on the left lead to an 18:th minute Fear goal, making it 0 - 3. Marcelo Lanza was noted down as the scorer. This third goal made a hat trick for Marcelo Lanza.

After 16 minutes Harry Pook made a complete fool of himself and dropped the ball to Lonnie Talley who shuffled it into goal. 1-1 for Gasmasters.

BTW, this is a match I'm not really expecting to win. At least, on paper, I ought to get spanked pretty hard.

It would appear the rout is on, and I'm on the wrong end of it:

Storm put themselves up 3 - 1 when Luther Cassidy broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. After this Storm lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts.

At least they're pulling back...:(

Halftime score was 3 - 1. Storm held the ball, with a clear 53 percent possession rate.

I'm surprised they have such a huge lead with possession being so close. Oh well, looks like it's time to wait for next year...

I got money for winning series. Do I get more reward $$ if I promote (when), or just the 10% fan bonus?

I'm pretty sure you get a promotion bonus as well as the supporter bonus. I believe the promotion bonus from a qual. match is less than the autopromote bonus. Does this sound right to anyone else?

I'm still scoreless at the half, and surprisingly i'm controlling posession, despite the dead legs of two weeks of stamina training. KevinNU7 will be very happy if I can pull this one off.

Promotion bonus is $100,000 for an autopromote (D5 to D4) and $30,000 for a qual win promote (but you also get gates for the qual match so sometimes qual promoters get more than $100,000 total).

exactly. I took in 92,000 from the qualification match I'm in right now. If I win, i'll actually make out better than those auto-promoting.

Tracy Masters increased the visitors lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 4.

In the 86:th minute the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 5 as Marcelo Lanza finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. The structure of the game started to change as Fear decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. (4 goals for him)

IV.9 saw another of it's teams go down as the 6th place team lost its qual game (to a very superior D5 side I might add).

I thought the Rooster could get 4th or 5th next year in IV.9, but now 6th would be an accomplishment.
