Do you know it ? (North Carolina State)

what's its reputation in sports ? in Men's basketball specifically ?
they play in NCAA Division III

I want infos on this College since my agency is about to represent one of its top seniors for professionnal basketball opportunities.

Chowan is part of USA South (was Dixie) Conference.

My undergrad School, Christopher Newport, is part of that group as well.

notice, no Chowan

CNU almost always wins the men's basketball regular season and tourney championships in USA south.

There is a Chowan College website (www.chowan.edu) which has a link to their athletics page. Just a quick glance at their results over the last three years shows they were 14-12 in 2000-01, but have fallen to 8-18 in 01-02 and 8-17 in 02-03.

Murfreesboro, the town where Chowan is located, is up in far northeast North Carolina near the Virginia border. It's closer to Norfolk than it is to Raleigh by around a half-hour to 45 minutes.

Mind you, I don't know the school itself or the basketball program, but being from NC originally, I've at least heard of it.

One of my Master's professors commuted back and forth to teach undergrad classes at Chowan. I didn't know they even had sports.
