Just curious...has anyone else been watching this on the Hallmark Channel (??) this week? I watched the first three parts while at my in-laws. Missed most of parts 4 & 5 due to being home and the kids not going to bed on time :) . I think I'll probably pick up the book in the near future.

Of all of the historical novels I have read, this was about the best of them all. I had been wanting to get the full version but the only place seems to be ebay. The condenced 3-hour version just does not cut it.

Amazon has it in VHS, if you're willing to pay $250 - http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/6300218171/qid=1058549530/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1/103-7058401-0269442 . It looks like you can preorder a full DVD version for only $60 - http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000A2ZNX/qid=1058549583/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1/103-7058401-0269442 .

I was thinking of getting it for my father-in-law, who was attempting to tape the series (I know, I've read the mp3 thread  ). He isn't going to get a DVD player until recordable models are more reasonably priced though.

No, but I play the game. I think it's called Samurai Swords now though.

I love that game, simperless! I've only been able to play it a handful of times, cause it's hard to get enough people interested in allocating the long period of time needed, but man, it is so cool!

I read the book. One of the best books I've read.

I also remember an old C64 game of the same name (based on the book). It was a blast.
