I think it appeared around the late 80s/early 90s. It was just a simple pop-a-shot type game from a first person perspective. You saw your hands and a basket. Along the height and width of the backboard were moving sliders that you tried to center by pressing the space key. If centered it was a swish.
The best thing about the game was the running commentary by Dick Vitale. "He's two for two." "He's on fire!" "Awesome baby!" "What a brick!"

I've searched off and on for a while but never found it again. I'm sure someone has a copy of it somewhere. Of course, it might not be as cool as I remember it if I saw it again. Age can do that to you...
