Erm, Madden released early?

I went to maddenmania's forums and I hear some guy saying that the game is in the warehouses already, but he can't say much.

he says finally see for yourself at (rhymes with) radden ration.

That is the thread where the guy talks about owning the game. Don't believe him? Check out the screens he took -- you can tell they are his or someone who owns it because it is obviously a shot of the TV and not a nice screenshot.

It's alright if you don't get madden right away, I'm having fun with Coffee's OOTP5 dynasty. My players been out for most of the season with injury, but that doesn't mean I can't make up crazy stuff involving guns and booze!

Hmmm ... well, Jim has made comments before about how EA maintains some rights to the FOF2+ engine, so maybe they did lift parts of it, or at the very least borrow the framework.

Of course, based on how well EA meshed that engine with the Gigawatt crap, I can only assume that it is highly likely this part of Madden won't work. :)

I would say that is a very safe bet. I'm excited about the Owner mode, but I also know that we will all be complaining about it the second we get it.

Yeah, but Shorty's excuse for his dynasty running slow is that Madden isn't out yet, and I need to see a season where my player gets more than one sack.

NCAA is just an appetizer. Madden is always my most anticipated game of the year. I am really preoccupied with it. I have already written up plans for getting rid of all domes (except maybe the Rams' dome), what teams will get moved (Bengals will be moved to Rochester and renamed to get rid of any record that they ever existed). I debate about which team to move to L.A., and which team will become the Las Vegas Gamblers (Carolina? Arizona?). Then there is the debate about which players to move to the "evil" teams (Cowboys, Raiders, Ravens, the new L.A. team). I also have to edit down current players who I don't think highly of in order to make room for classic players like Steve Young, Walter Payton, etc.

While waiting for my memory card with the NCAA named rosters to return, I have been debating how to put the Ivy league into the MAC so that Cornell will face Marshall, Miami, and Ohio each year, while still playing Penn for the last game (rivalry weekend) of the season if possible. I'm really obsessive. Maybe this should go into one of the "weird things you do" threads. The funny thing is, I won't even play with Cornell until after I have moved IU to national prominence, but I have to put them in the right team's place so that their set schedule will be right when I take them over many seasons down the line.

And before Madden arrives, I have to finish the next installment of my Bill Gates dynasty so that when Madden arrives I will be free to play it during all of my free time.
