I was wondering if any of you guys know of good sports radio stations/shows that are also broadcast on the internet.

We have a local sports radio station here in Atlanta that broadcasts on the net, that is pretty good. I was just looking for different views and opinions. Being in Atlanta, they have a southern slant (focus on the ACC, SEC, NFC South, Braves, etc.).

For those who care, the station here in Atlanta is WCNN - 680 the fan.

Link to 680 the fan website (http://www.680thefan.com/)

From 10-1 they have "Max and Perry". Max Howell is a former assistant coach at Florida State, and I believe coached Emmit Smith in high school. He is pretty darn knowledgeable about the College game, and knows his pro stuff too. Perry is just an obnoxious Yankee that thinks he knows it all. Altogether it's a pretty good show. Mainly because of Max.

If you like to gamble on college or pro games, you should listen to Arnie Spanier from 5:30-10am. He is nicknamed the "stinking genius" because of his ability to pick games. Especially upsets. It's really amazing.

They are currently broadcasting from the Atlanta Falcons training camp at Furman University. I wonder if EasyMac is on campus.

Post your links to your favorite sports radio sites so that we can have them all right here in this nice, neat little thread. Thanks!

I found a Fox Sports Net affiliate that broadcasts online. I believe they are out of LA. Highlights are Tony Bruno (my favorite) and Jim Rome. I can't STAND "Romey" so I basically listen to Tony Bruno every morning. Good stuff.

Yeah, Mike and Mike used to be on the station I listen to. They were ok. Actually, Golic was ok. I didn't really care for Greenberg too much.

I can remember when Dan Patrick used to call in to one of the Atlanta rock stations. He used to have a daily Blauser (Jeff) update. I even met him and Mike Fratello one night at a Braves game. It was a "Blauser Banner Night". We were runner-up, but he and Fratello came over to tell us that they thought our banner was awesome and should have won. Patrick was pretty cool. Fratello was an ass.

I use to listen to this in the afternoons at work until Fox got rid of Kiley & Booms (actually Fox fired comedian Chuck Booms for some remarks he made concerning gays I believe it was).. Now that was a interesting show.

With those names they sound like they should be hosting a gay talk radio show.

I was wondering whatever happened to Arnie. I used to listen to him all the time when he was with 1 on 1 Sports. I'll have to check out his show sometime.

mr. simperless the "clones" will be after you for bad mouthing Rome. You did the "Jungle" and the "clones" will be all over you.

My home sports radio station is espn radio 1000 (www.espnradio1000.com). The best stuff is on from 3-7pm with Mac, Jurko, and Harry. If you are thin skinned then do not listen. They should have online streaming audio sometime later this year.

This (http://www.espnradio1000.com/listingsEntry.asp?ID=57597&PT=mcneiljurkoharry) is my favorite this thing that MJH did. Laughed for days.

Yeah, he's been in Atlanta for 6-8 months or so. He came here from L.A. I think.

Eh, I rarely listen in the mornings anyhow. 2 Live Stews aren't bad, and the Cotter/Oliver/Dimino trio during late day is usually pretty good. I'll end up on 750 for baseball games at night anyhow.

I really like Sporting News Radio:

http://radio.sportingnews.com

When I'm up late simming I like listening to the overnight shows with Kevin Wheeler and Chris Russell. They are both knowledgeable about the four major sports and the talk-radio format lets you hear the opinions of people across North America. You don't get that with ESPN.

Two questions:

- I thought Jim Rome wasn't available online? The local station "blacks out" his show from their web site, since apparently he has a deal where you can only listen online from his paid web site

- Is Arnie Spaniard the fat guy who would come dangerously close to having heart attacks on the air?

I wasn't aware of this, but it does not surprise me given his ego. Maybe it is a simple oversight? Shhhh! Better yet, email "Romey" and let him know about it so they will pull it and put some quality programming on instead. :D

I'm sure there are probably a lot of radio personalities that fit that personality, but yeah, I think he is probably the one you are thinking of. Click the link to the 680 the fan website and you can see his picture and listen to the show. He is on from 5:30-10 am (eastern) every weekday.

I second that emotion.

And if there are any others that you guys want to put out here, please do. Other local sports stations, or even particular shows.

Of course I'm STILL waiting for Cam's show to go internet. :D

I personally can't stand any of the Atlanta talk sports radio stations I fear.. I tend to listen to ESPN Radio the most. Tony Korneiser has a great show in my opinion from 10am till 1pm Eastern... The other shows are ok from a national point of view I suppose..

If I want guy-radio with some sports mixed in, I like listening to 1310 out of Dallas www.theticket.com primarily the morning show and afternoon drive shows.. They rotated the lunch time shows so often, I never could keep track of who was there.

Another afternoon show that I like, you cant get online anymore.. that is WEEI afternoon show. I can't stand their other shows.

Every now and then I listen to Jim Rome online, but he gets tiresome fairly quick after a few days of him...

Umm.. I guess thats it mainly. I will catch other shows in NYC, or such if my mood suits me.. but thats pretty much what I listen to.
