During a recent chat session on BSAK radio, I heard Starship's "We Built This City", and I happened to call it classic rock, which nearly drove Swaggs crazy.

I happen to think it is, because you'll hear it on so called classic rock stations now, and it's an infectious song, and a classic ;)

He disagrees with me.

Very vehemently.

So.. you the reader decides.

Is Foz NUTTY?

I could make fun of Gannon, but it is such a non-descript school, I wouldn't even know where to begin...

Heh heh..."We Built This City" as classic rock. :)

Thanks for the laugh, Foz. :)

Go get some Zepp or Stones or Clapton in his many band forms or old Aerosmith, and there you have some classic rock.

Ah, yes, that explains Marmel's nudity for JBL sims.

Is Foz crazy? When ur favorite team is a div3 English Football team, it makes you wonder ;). But, to answer the question, yes.

Is the song "Classic Rock"? Borderline. Starship, or Jefferson Starship, or Jefferson Airplane certainly did a lot of what is now classic rock, but I truly can't imagine this song being played sandwiched between AC/DC and Cream.

Well, let me change something, it's a classic Rock song, if not quite Classic Rock.

BTW, thanks for the tip on Sophie Ellis Baxtor thing, I downloaded a few of her songs off that allofmp3 paid service mentioned elsewhere, cool stuff :)

Noel Gallagher "Don't Look Back In Anger" from MTV Unplugged currently playing.. how could that band ruin what they had? :(

No, you won't take it over. We are going to talk about the music I listen to, and why it disturbs most others ;)

Stuff like Eurodance (especially from the anime Initial D)

Your fine man. That is as classic rock as it gets now. Also, nothing wrong with having your favorite soccer team a d3 squad. Torquay can take their 89th minute goal and stick it up their asses. Lincoln Rules!

Its a classic rock song...........the 80's are for the most part twenty years ago guys. No it may not be a CLASSIC rock song, but its now in the genre of music known as classic rock IMO.

"We Built This City" isn't classic rock not because it isn't classic but because it isn't rock.

Just as classic rock stations feel free to play "Come Sail Away" by Styx while ignoring the siren's call that is "Don't Let It End" and "Mr. Roboto", so too is it acceptable to play "Someone to Love" and "White Rabbit" while shoving "Nothing Can Stop Us Now" into the same dustbin that contains the dessicated careers of the Jets and Dream Academy.

Would you play a back-to-back set of "Kashmir" and Gary Numan's "Cars"? I think not.
