I didn't wanna look for the thread, but someone put that the computer re-orders depth charts weirdly.. like, Troy Brown as #4 WR behind 70 overall guys and stuff...
I simmed two seasons... Brown really WAS #4 WR on this team also.. but the weird part was that he still had 100+ yards, while #2 WR had less than 700. And no one got injured.
I just find this weird.

The game also takes into account age...im in my fourth year with the rams, and even though bruce is an 86, he is fourth behind shaun mcdonald and the reciever whos at oregon state right now...they will develop while hes like 35...if i need to win in the playoffs or in a close game i throw him in, but the others need the playing time to develop

It seems to me that the real problem is players dont properly develope while on the bench. The AI/designers know this and so its set up so they play the younger players so the team will be better in the future. If that didn't happen, as soon as the current starters are gone the computer team may very well suck. EA needs to stop putting so much emphasis on players developing in the NFL with playing time.

They should develop faster, but not exclusevly. And players that don't start shouldn't drop like rocks.

Those drops are crazy. I had one guy drop 14 points of overall in one season. If I had any idea that could happen I would have traded him away when he was a 78 and just had a scrub for a backup.

I noticed that the CB Juran Bolden (since he WAS a Winnipeg BlueBomber) goes from somewhere in the high 80s to something like a 49 overall in TWO seasons of free agency... and then retires.
That's crazy... why wouldn't a team sign him in the first season anyway? Oh well.
