Bob Sura was sent to the Pistons today for Cliff Robinson and Pepe Sanchez...

Rumor has it that Chris Mullin was the actual mastermind to the Jamison trade and this recent trade. Also, it is also rumored that Mullin has the GM job once Gary St. Jean's contract runs out. Thats Good news for Warriors fans.

This thread may garner more attention had you said "Warriors Acquire Cliff Robinson". Heh, I clicked because I've liked Sura since his Cleveland days. But I am also a Cliffy Robinson fan too.

I guess as a Warrior fan you have to like this deal, am I right?

Clifford Robinson? They still make that?

As a Warriors fan, I love this deal, Bob Sura has had 2 unproductive, injury plauged years and is over paid. Cliff is a good addition to the team.

Cliff was really down in the second half, but is a great defender.

Nonexistent in the playoffs though.

Great leader.

I like the deal from both ends, we rid a big contract with next year being the KG year.

Good riddance to Uncle Cliffy.

After watching him for two years, I can honestly say he gave the least amount of effort of any player I've ever seen. I've witnessed many times where he made little or no effort to catch a pass that was a tiny bit behind him or above his head. I don't think I've ever seen him bend over to pick up a ball.

For a 6'10" man, he is also the worst rebounder I've ever seen. Rebounding entails trying, which is obviously beyond his abilities.

I always called him Clifford "The Human Turnover" Robinson because of his total lack flexibility and dexterity. Clifford "The Black Hole" Robinson would also work. Once the ball hit his hands (if he was able to hold onto it), it never came out, unless it was a 3 point brick. Cliff isn't a fan of passing.

As far as leadership goes, I never saw it. The Pistons true leader is Ben Wallace. Ben doesn't say alot, but no one works harder, and his teammates love him. When he says something, you listen.

When the Pistons truly needed Cliff - The playoffs - he was no where to be found.

I am so happy he, and his retarded contract, are gone. I could care less is Sura is any good. Getting rid of "Brick" Robinson is improvement enough for me.

Unfortunately they traded or failed to resign all the people that made the Warriors what they are. Jamison, Boykins, and Arenas were the only reasons why they did as well as they did. Arenas I could understand not resigning... because they couldn't, but fan favorites Jamison and Boykins... I dunno. Chemistry is next to nothing now. If they trade away Troy Murphy, they will automatically become the worst team in the West. They needed a good point guard, but Van Exel has always been fussy with losing teams. Cliff Robinson was a great player years ago, but he's losing his stuff.</p> Just think that the Warriors should have stuck with their core players and got a good point guard by trading draft picks and lesser players. Who knows, maybe Speedy/Boykins at the point might've worked.

I was hoping to read that Sura got traded back to FSU, as we haven't had a really competitive basketball team since he left. Oh well.

I just had to laugh when I read this - I have been a warriors fan for a long time - and I think it is safe to say- I don't think that will be a problem!

drunkem, Warriors fans didn't love Jamison, most of us know that he is really overrated. Arenas was the real player that needed to stay, because I beileve he will be better then Jamison. The warriors needed to make these moves, because they got rid of three huge contracts, Chris Mills, Danny Fortson, and Jamison. Bob Sura was overpaid also. Getting Cliff Robinson isn't going to make the Warriors any better, because as 44niners indicated, the Warriors aren't going to the playoffs anytime soon. They made these trades for the money and to evaluate Jason Richardson and Troy Murphy who are both in the last years of their contracts.
