I thought i'd throw something new at you guys :)

http://www.martialcombat.com

Martial combat is a online fighting sim similar to the boxing sim the Breeze is currently playing. I made a post about this game back in march and a few FOFC members signed up and started playing. Back then it was still in beta. Most (if not all) of the FOFC members that were playing have left expect for me and Daed i think.

Martial Combat went live June 1st (i think) and its been growing steadly ever since. Currently there are well over 6,000 fighters all fighting for 1 belt :)Basically the point of the game is to make fighters and work your way up to the top. Sounds simple right??? well it's not.

After you make a fighter, You start out in a random rookie league with a bunch of other rookies. After 10 fights you get promoted to another "random" league. Like Japan, Philippines, Africa, North America etc.... Then you try to work your way to number 1 in that league. If your number 1 when promotions happen (once every 6 fights) you get promoted to yet another league.

This league is were the big dogs play. I currently have a few fighters fighting this high up and i can tell ya its dam tough. Then, if you somehow make it to number one in this league and get promoted. You'll then enter the "World League". This is were the best of the best fight. If you reach number 1 here, your the world champian and 1 badass mofo. I currently don't have any fighters in the World league and probally won't for another month or so.

Confused yet??? good, im about to confuse you even more :)
Your charactor has 6 major category's. They are.......

Power = Basically how much damage you do

Smarts = A varity of things. Helps with attack, defense, etc....

Toughness = How much damage you can endure.

Agilty = mainly for defense, but also helps in attack some

Aggresiveness = helps attack

Fitness = Basically how long you can fight for.

These are all just basic run downs of each stat.

There are also 4 different kinds of attacks

Punch, Kick, throw and hold.

Each one has its advantages and disadvatages. But you only want to concentrate on one. Its best to only use one and put alot of your points into it. Then to use them all and spread your points thin.

Your fighter starts with a 10 points in every stat. You can take up to 5 away from each stat and add as much as 5 to any stat. So no stat can start with less then 5 or more then 15.

And finally each new fighter starts with a "Style" that you pick. There are a bunch of different ones and they each give you a plus to different attack skills. For Example.....

Kuk Sool Wan - gives you +3 kick, +1 throw, and +1 hold to start.
Moo Do - gives you +3 hold and +2 kick to start.

Once you make you fighter you set his strategy. You get 30 points to divide into Offensive, Defensive, and Technical. That will determine how he fights. Technical is more or less like counter-attack. You can make a fighter all offensive by putting all 30 points into offense or spread your points out equally. You can also change you strategy at anytime.

Fights are run 3 times a week. monday, wednesday and friday nights. With each win your fighters reputation increases and you get more money for each fight. With money you can buy training seminars or hire cutman and cornerman. Im nto gonna get to deep into this. I've babbled on about the rules enough as it is.

Check out the FAQ on the website for all the info http://www.martialcombat.com

Now that we finally got all that Technical crap out of the way. I can tell ya how i plan to run this dynasty.

So lets get started....

Bobby

Another big win tonight to end my Amateur career. I gonna miss it, but its time for me to go pro. My 46 – 5 record is tops in the area and im being recruited by a few highly touted Fight gyms. One gym in particular has caught my eye……. The Misfitz. They just had a spot open up as one of they’re older verterns, Chris “Sweetness” Simons retired. They are one of the more well known gym’s in “Martial Combat” and they are home to some top fighters. I have a meeting with the Manager tommarrow. I hope it goes well, im anxious to get my pro career started.

The Meeting

The meeting went well. I met with the Manager of the the Misfitz Gym..... Havok. He seemed like a cool guy, but very intense at times. He's a former Martial Combat champian and one tough SOB from what i hear.

He told me he's been eyeing me for the past few months and likes my potential. But that life as a Misfit isn't easy. He said....

"We train hard around here boy, we only take the best. No losers here, if after 20 fights your winning % is below 70%. Your contract is cancelled and your out on the street. We have a reputation to uphold here. But don't worry son, you have the talent. If you work hard and give it 100%, we'll make a dam good fighter out of you yet."

After his little speach, we took a tour of the facilities. I can tell these guys are really into strength training. The place is filled with weight benches and workout machines. Plus there are 2 big Boxing rings right in the middle. I was kinda shocked when i saw Jing 'blackmask' Tawo sparring in the ring. He's like a legend in Martial Combat, I've watched him fight plenty of times. I thought he'd retired by now, i guess he's still fighting. I bet there are some things he could teach me.

Anyway, after the tour we went back to Havok's office. We discussed the terms of my contract. Basically, i'll start off on a rookie contract. After my first 10 fights if they still want me around they'll sign me to a major contract. I could care less either way, i just wanna fight. Let the lawyers handle the contract's.

Signing Day

The day i've been waiting for, im officially a Professional fighter!! My lawyer gave me the green light and i signed my rookie contract today. After i signed, i looked up at Havok with a grin on my face, and he said....

"I promise that will be the last time you smile at me for awhile. Your ass is mine now, time to make a fighter out of you."

I probally should have been scared, but i was so exceited i didn't care. Bring it on i thought.....bring it on.

Training

The last 2 weeks have been hell. Wake up at dawn, train all day and go to sleep. These guys are tough around here. i remember my first day.....

After my morning run Havok said he had someone he wanted me to meet. We walk into the locker room and there stands Carl 'Pure Havok' Hendrix. I just stood there with my month open. He's currently the Misfitz Captain and one badass Moo Do expert.
He's also the highest ranked Misfitz in the world.

"Since you also study Moo Do Bobby, Carl here will help you with your training. And to see how far along you are, your gonna spar him in an exhibition match in front of the whole gym."

Talk about nervous, my first day as a pro and im sparring a top ranked fighter. But what the hell, how bad could it be???

(this is a sparring match and this is what the fights look like.)

Post Fight

Man did he ever kick my ass, i didn't even land a blow. Talk about learning something the hardway. But what i did learn is that i got a LONG LONG way to go. It was embarressing hearing the whole gym laugh at me right before i went unconcious. But with a guy like him training me the sky is the limit.

Eve on my First fight

Nervous, Nervous, Nervous! I've never been so nervous in my life. Tommarrow is my first pro fight and the pressure is building. I wanna impress the rest of the Gym and show these guys im for real. Right now they treat me like im some kind of outcast. Looks like i'll have to earn there respect.

In my first fight im fighting another rookie. Im not sure what his real name is, but people call him "The Chiplin Effect". I haven't got the slightest idea what that means. But i don't really care either. He trains in "Tae Kwon Do" so he's probally got a pretty nice kick and this is his first professional fight. Thats all i know about him. He doesn't belong to any Gym at the moment so i guess he is kind of a vagabond.

The Chiplin Effect

Height: 5' 11"---------------------Points: 1000 (Rookie 6119)
Weight: 175 lbs-------------------League: South American Rookie
Style: Tae Kwon Do--------------Record: 0 - 0
Team: None------------------------Winning Streak: 0
Previous Fight: None-------------IKO's: 0

After weeks of training and multiple discussions with my manager and trainer. I've decided to be mainly a "Technical" Fighter for now. This may change in the future but for now it plays to my strengths.

(Technical Fighters will wait for the opening and attempt to capitalize on it.
They will not control the fight as well but will make the most of their attacks when they make them.)

Theres nothing left to do but wait..... This Chiplin guy is never gonna no what hit'em!!!

OOC - Bobby's stats

Here is my guys stats going into his first fight.......

Power: 14 (3.3)-------Agility: 10 (0)------------Punch: 10 (0)
Smarts: 10 (2.2)------Aggresiveness: 6 (0)---Kick: 12 (0)
Toughness: 12 (3.0) Fitness: 10 (0)-----------Throw: 10 (0)
--------------------------------------------------------Hold: 16 (0)

The numbers in Parentheses are bonuses from my Gym. so my power is really 17.3, smarts 12.2, and toughness 15.

Bobby will mainly be "grappler". So the "hold" attack will be his most used attack by alot.
