Wow, can one of the true original action heroes actually be dead?
Charles Bronson's Passing (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=514&e=9&u=/ap/20030901/ap_on_en_mo/obit_bronson_5)
I was surprised to hear he was 81, although in retrospect, it's really not surprising at all. He has been around for a long time.
I still remember the days in the 80s when it was Arnold, Sly, Chuck, Charles, and Clint when it came to action movies. If it didn't have one of those five guys, it wasn't worth checking out.
As much as Bronson was fun to watch as a vigilante in the Death Wish films, I will always remember him best in "The Magnificent Seven", "The Dirty Dozen", and a personal favorite, "Once Upon A Time In The West." (I have never seen "The Great Escape"--I need to do so)
I'm sorry to see him go, although we have to go some time, and he has lived a rich, full life. Thanks for the action-movie memories, Charles.
