Anybody ever notice the Replies/Views ratio for threads to see what is a good thread?
I do this in the dynasty forum, where I want my dynasties to have at least 10 views for every reply. I think those dynasties are the ones that people care about.
What's a good ratio for you? What do you shoot for?

I also think 10:1 or greater is a good dynasty ratio. I have no theories on general discussion topics yet.

I don't think it matters

I don't think it matters either. I do find the 32:1 ratio in the Britney thread amusing though.

Isn't this a double-edged sword?

You might not think it matters, but it does tell us some things about the posts. Dynastys with a high view/post ratio obviously have regular readers. If the dyansty isn't worth reading, the views/posts ratio will be very low. A dynasty with a lot of readers will have a very high post/reply ratio - tipping us off that it's of better quality.
General discussion topics are way more likely to have the "car crash" appeal where everyone feels they have to take a peek (the Brittney thread).
