Oh wait, it's only Eagles fans that get ripped for booing, never mind.

Eagle fans also get ripped for crying and whining.

That would be the Raiders fans, that's the only major whining and crying that I remember from this board.

Yeah, it's great watching Raider fans dressed like Darth Vader and poseur bikers whining.

I'm not sure you can. So far, it's brilliant without you.

Noble, please find all the whining on this board from the Eagles fans that you refer to. I can remember whining from Raider fans about losing a playoff game, whining from Raiders fans how the refs are always against them, whining from Steelers fans about getting 'shafted' on calls, whining from Giants fans about losing to the 49ers, the list goes on.

Shouldn't this thread be titled, "I want to pick a fight."

Panthers fans get ripped for actually being excited about winning. :(

Hence the collective shrug we get for knocking off Tampa Bay.

Nice job beating the Bucs. I think Carolina is on the way up. :)

The Panthers have a very impressive defense, at least from the replays that I saw. Should be a good season for the Panthers.

So Galt, why is pointing out a double standard considered picking a fight. I guess it's not picking a fight when the 'dogpile on the Philly fans' threads come out.

All I did was point out a double standard, Noble decided to be the one to come in firing shots. Please explain how that is picking a fight.

Perhaps not many do on this board, but I live inHarrisburg Pa, about an hour and a half from Philly. All I hear is Eagles fans bitching in the papers and on tv. If they lose lose they bitch and if they win they bitch because it wasnt by enough. I actually hearda guy on a local sports radio show call in and say he thought it was time to bench Mcnabb and shake things up. Are you kidding me? After 2 games? Cmon.

Actually, there's a sports talk radio host here in Sacramento who's been saying that McNabb is overrated and that Feeley is a better QB for the Eagles since the pre-season. And he's usually a fairly rational guy.

I didn't pay much attention to how Feeley played last season, but McNabb has looked pathetic in the games I've seen this year.

He has looked really bad, but only 2 games in is not time to talk about benching him or tradinghim. Brett Favre had a horrible first game, as well as did Tom brady, and I didnt hear people calling for their heads.

Yeah but they both earned rings...McNabb hasn't.

And I'm an Eagles fan...I've watched both games and cannot understand why we don't run. I cannot understand why Reid refuses to understand that McNabb does not fit the plan of a WCO offense...maybe AJ does and that's why he played so well last year...but really...

Their O-line is over-rated.
Their receivers are dropping catches and aren't that good (no #1 WR, though Freddie Mitchell was supposed to change that)
Their defense is depleted...you draft to DE's and lose one for the season, your reserve DT is gone for the season...and MLB is played by an undersized LB from Atlanta (couldn't even crack the starting lineup and Atlanta's D is nothing to get worked up about)...

Reid gambles on injuries, and sometimes he lucks out (See Darwin Walker, A.J. Feeley), and sometimes he doesn't...

Benching Mcnabb wont help your defense or your bad O-line or horrible playcalling. I think the team as a whole is playing horrible, not just mcnabb.

I didn't say bench him, but you have to admit, he looks scared, his passing is terrible, and he's not running.

True, I am just saying he isnt the whole problem.

You guys should hear the people in Denver.

They bitch and moan that Brian Griese is the Anti-Christ and proceed to run him out of town. Everyone starts screaming for Jake Plummer and then boo him in his first pre-season home start.

I'm going to cheer for my team no mattter starts at QB. I can say with a pretty high degree of certainty that we'd be 2-0 with Brian Griese still on the roster. (with a lot more cap room to boot)

I guess I can live with the whining though. You know when you are in trouble? When nobody cares to whine anymore. They just expect losses. Ahhh, the joys of being a Nugget fan. :(

We Warriors fans actaully want our team to lose near the end of the season, so we can get another top 5 pick to squander on the next Adonal Foyle or Jason Richardson

I don't want to hear about losing from either of you. Just take a look at my friggin signature...

Doesn't UTEP have a basketball championship. A REALLY, REALLY famous one even? The Warriors hold a title too.

We here in Nuggetland don't even have a championship appearence to fall back on. Being a Nugget fan means you don't even have any history. The two greatest moments in Nuggets history consist of becoming the first 8 seed to knock off a 1 seed (we haven't been to the playoffs since that point) and being involved in the highest scoring game in NBA history.

It's ok guys. Our teams will win someday. :(

Yeah, eleven years before I was born.

But I did get to see some really good Miner teams in the late eighties and early nineties, though things have been bad as of late (Billy Gillispie is gonna bring us back up, though).

As for the football program... well I have been alive to see all three of the winning seasons the UTEP football team has had in the past thirty years...

1971 5-6
1972 2-8
1973 0-11 (considered my many to be the worst Div 1 team ever)
1974 4-7
1975 1-10
1976 1-11
1977 1-11
1978 1-11
1979 2-9
1980 1-11
1981 1-10
1982 2-10
1983 2-10
1984 2-9
1985 1-10
1986 4-8
1987 7-4
1988 10-3 (blown out in the Independence Bowl by Brett Favre)
1989 2-10
1990 3-8
1991 4-7-1
1992 1-10
1993 1-11
1994 3-7-1
1995 2-10
1996 2-9
1997 4-7
1998 3-8
1999 5-7
2000 8-4 (Blown out at Humanitarian Bowl by that football powerhouse Boise State)
2001 2-9
2002 2-10

That's an average of 2.78 wins per season. Take away the two aberation bowl games and then it's an average of 2.36 wins per season...

This year we're off to an 0-3 start, and some people are saying that we could be as bad as the '73 team. We even lost to Div 1-AA Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Lost? Shit, we got spanked by them. It's gonna be another rough season.

I'm not sure why I even bother getting my hopes up before the season anymore...

Dola: Recent history I will put Rutgers' 7 wins over the past 4 seasons up against you though. :(
