an NFL loser's challenge, week 8

Week 8 is upon us, here we go again, trying to find who will be the next biggest loser...

Rules are fairly simple: Try to find the team, one that you have never picked since the beginning of the season, that will lose its game with the worst deficit. If the team you pick loses, you will earn their margin of defeat as points in your season total. However, if the team you picked wins, their margin of victory will be deducted from your season total. Remember though: never pick the same team twice in the season.

Deadline is kickoff of the team you select. This means you can still pick a team up until Monday, unless you've already used both teams. Also, you can start playing at any week. It's not because you may have missed until now, that we won't let you in on the fun... Come on in!

If for a reason or another, you wanted to change your pick, simply post another team, as long as you're still before its deadline, I'll replace your first pick by your new one. Do not edit your pick once it's posted. Reason for this is simple: once I have registered your pick, I won't go back to see who has edited their posts. Please write a little note on the post for your new pick that this is in fact a second pick.

Even when the Bucs were playing well and the 'Boys were sucking ass we played them reasonably close. In 2001 we only lost to them 10-6, and that was Q's first game ever. And while we lost 27-7 in 2000, I would hardly call that a crushing. The Bucs are banged up, the Cowboys are playing smart, fundamental football, and Parcells will have a gameplan ready.

I'm not saying that the Cowboys are going to win, but they won't be crushed either...

Well, I fell the need to defend the Cowboys whenever I feel that they have been wronged. Another symptom of the addiction my girlfriend says that I have... :D

You know what? You may be right about future mediocrity. One of my big worries is that if the Cowboys have a good run this year he would retire and everything would fall apart again. Some folks in the area think that we have a shot at Stoops if that happens, but lord only knows. It takes a very special coach to do what Parcells has done so far this year...

It was a very good week for me. Picked the biggest loser (depending on the Monday night game) and went 4-0 against the spread. Woot for me.
