Trust me when I say this:
Anyone who has held a real job knows EXACTLY how you feel.

I get to go to work tomorrow morning...in the press box for a football game. I get paid to watch football and hand stat sheets out to media members...man, I'm glad I have a real job.

I've had one hell of a week.........
A good friend who works for the same company as me got made redundant, came in at 0900, escorted by security from the site at 0930......bastards.
I got passed over for promotion, it was given to a colleague who has one tenth the technical ability I have.......reason given, they are enthuiastic about learning 15 products they need to learn (they currently only know 2), whereas I who who all about the 15 products am unenthusiastic about learning the other 2 products which have a dying customer base.......assholes!!!
I have to surrender my passport for 4 months whilst the US gov updates it with a new visa. The original plan was I would fly home to the UK work out of the London office whilst the US embassy updated it in about 5 weeks......the company said I could still do this if I paid all expenses, they wouldn't give me any assistance - I have had to cancel my Christmas plans, miss another important family event and will not have been able to travel outside the US for a total of 8 months, as I can't afford to do this for that long.
My boss suggested I visit his house and shoot his guns at fence posts to help with my bad mood - I told him if I did I might just turn around and shoot him.
So far my worst week in the US since I arrived - I am currently searching for my sense of humour, I lost it sometime this week and haven't found it again yet

Not as bad as some of you guys but I went looking online for the Bill James' New Baseball Abstract and after a bit of site surfing, I thought I found a good deal at $15.99. So I purchase it. The next site I run into had it on sale for $14. $2 lost because I'm impatient.
Ok, so this is no where near as bad as some of you guys, sorry :(
