Just curious. The spammer we had run through our ranks recently mentioned they vote for a "owner of the year" or something.

Then I saw Galesburg has a rookie of the year, as well as other team awards.

Any interest in doing something like this per season for HT?

Maybe a "Biggest contributor" "FOFC owner of the season" "Most improved team"...etc. Lots of possibilities.

We could then put it to a vote among a few choices. I'd be happy to handle the voting, if enough interest is out there.

I had thought about this at the end of last season also- possibly doing some sort of All-fofc team....with a 1 player per team max so that the great teams would just dominate (Targetpractice). That along with some 'awards' for the owners would be a very cool idea

Also- AE if there is some interest I would be very willing to help out in anyway.

yeah, maybe have the 1st team run a 3-5-2, and the 2nd team run a 4-4-2 (to help out the defensive trainers :D )

We could do both an all FOFC team and a U20 team or break teams down by division.

As there seems to be quite a good amount of interest in this, I will start taking PMs for this. Got an idea for an award? PM me with the idea, and a couple of nominees, if you will.

Doug and I will begin compiling lists and the FOFC teams. There may be quite a few from what I'm seeing. I envision an All FOFC 1st and 2nd team, and then from there we'll most likely pick FOFC teams for each division. Lots of work (and fun) ahead for us, Doug.

I'd be interested in helping out too. Send me a PM or post in the thread if you want me to take a division or two. I like the idea of U20's and maybe we could add a 28+ category too.

For the All-FOFC team, I think more than just raw skill should be taken into consideration. If we did that, we could just call the All-FOFC team Shaolin Landfills and call it good. Limit the players to 1 All FOFC player, 1 U-20 player, and 1 honorable mention per team or something like that. For instance, Bautista might be TP's representative because he's one of the players that a lot of people know, even though he isn't his best player.

I think we are planning on having other awards like.... the Tom Sanders award (best youth pull, don't know if we will make up names like that, but I like the idea)- and I think I will be voting for Jarrod Kaplan :D I am waiting to hear back from AE to discuss that- right now we are just gathering players for the all FOFC teams...and yes each team is limited to only 1 player for the all FOFC team.
