Hey run and shooters!

Thanks to switching to the run and shoot this season. I finished second in V.53 with 34 points! I finished with 73 goals for and 21 against!

BTW, I have finished 8th, 5th and 4th the past three seasons with a negative GD each year. (I was running a conventional 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 those first three seasons)

Any other run and shoot success stories?

The 2nd generation run and shoot Avengers have finished 2nd in their first season, the deciding factor being only goal differential. (3 teams including me finished with 30 points)

Do run-and-shooters use offensive coach to increase ratings more or defensive coach to make-up for the loss of defensive rating (or just make sure you have great defenders/keeper)?

I use an offensive coach, but then again, my goal differential was HORRIBLE this season.

It's all about GK training, running a 2-5-3, putting both wings toward middle and attacking in the middle.

I used an offensive coach just because you can always put more defenders out on the field than strikers so your offense needs the boost. I think the biggest advantage of the run-and-shoot is that it allows you to concentrate on the midfield (hence, getting wins) and also to score more which helps your goal differential.
