Defending or passing could be near solid.

even with both of them at solid, isnt that still a bit high of a value? it just seems odd to me, but im still pretty new at all this.

If both of them were solid, that would be about right, if not kinda low.

With two solids, he'd be definitely considered low in value.

I pulled a solid winger/solid defender and while he had wretched playmaking/passing/scoring and only poor stamina, he still was valued at 106k...

dola, there's also the possibility he could be in high passable form, kind of almost solid since we don't know when he was pulled...

thanks for the help. i just thought it was high since i have a similar player with inad passing and solid defending but only worth about 60k. i didnt think passing would bring up a price that much since it is a "secondary" skill.

Also his Winger skill and set pieces could be High Weaks, close to inads.

i thought i read somewhere that set pieces skill does not affect the estimated value of a player?

MacroGuru

It probably doesn't, so then it could be the winger skill helping.

what Dennis is saying is right and can be said for pretty much all skills (maybe except set pieces, that I don't know). He could be also a very high inadequate stamina, almost passable too.

He's not outrageously high in value that you can pinpoint it on one skill being very high. It's not like he is valued at 200k with only 2 passable skills to show for it...

In the future of counter attacks, this guy could be worth a whole lot more. Defenders with passing ability will be gold. I plan on training my A team defenders in the midfield next season and try to bump up their passing abilities. I also recently purchased an inad passer/solid defender for somewhat immediate help. Most of my defenders as is are horrid at passing right now. I'm hoping by the end of the season to have an option of pressing or counter attacking...but with my passing as is back there, it's not much of an option.

I think the guy I picked up today may well have been worth the purchase price once the next season starts.

Actually, reading the tactics again, passing as a whole will be very important with most of the tactics.

I am actually thinking of ditching the first 5 weeks of training scoring for passing.

I'm kind of going the opposite way, Dennis. I may train passing for 1 or 2 weeks while I sluff through the D6 teams in Cup play. After that I'll push scoring training. With my focus on Cup matches this season, I'll want my best to play the Cup games, while still giving it the old college try in league play.

Once I get eliminated, the A team defenders will most likely see time in the midfield on the B squad, and I'll likely not take any cup rules friendlies. Plan is now to train passing for a majority of this season, and possibly switch my training program in the process.
