1- having a "PRO BOWL"
Ok, unless this is kept secret, there will still be no Pro Bowl game in FOF.
I'm not a progammer and have no idea how much time implementing this would take but I figure it shouldn't be that much of a huge deal compared to other features that are new to this version.

Afer the FOF Bowl is played, well let's move on to a Pro Bowl game. There you can have the best players of every conference in an All-star game, and watch them play (you can be asked to call plays also if you want -only if your team reached at least the conference championship game). You could also vote for "Pro Bowl rosters" from week 9 to week 16 much like we vote for the Heisman winner in TCY...

2- "MVP meter" during the season
much like there are draft grades and the "green page" in FOF2K4, why not having an "MVP meter" screen all season long with an updated list -week in, week out- of the top 5 players in contention for league MVP honors. We could see the top player move up, down depending on each week's peformance etc.
Also, make us vote for this NFL MVP award - like in TCY.

just a couple thoughts

1. If this ever were included, I'd want the option to turn it off. I hate the pro bowl in real life. To me, the season is over the second the Super Bowl ends. The Pro Bowl is complete horseshit.

2. I'd like to have a say in a lot more things in FOF, and I think a vote for player of the year makes a lot of sense. I also think voting on proposed team moves and super bowl locations would be fun.

#2 sounds cool, #1 I don't care about. I think it's enough that the game elects an "all-pro" team and lists that in each player's accomplishments.

Well the thing is, the All-Pro list is not exhaustive.
For instance, with 1st & 2nd team honors, you only have 2 QBs in the whole league that you see rewarded.
While in real NFL, a grand total of 6 QBs are selected to the Pro Bowl and therefore have recognitions.

Let's say you have this great QB but the AI decides that each year he's worthy of being the #3 QB in the league in terms of performances and everything.
Then, because he's "just" n°3 in the league, he'll never get an All-Pro honor and therefore at the end, no recognition at all and the guy will disapear of off your radar screen as a "bust who never achieved anything".
Had there been Pro Bowl rosters, he would have made the cut and would have ended with 6 or 7 Pro Bowl selections under his belt and by the time he retires you'd say to yourself "man, I just had an incredible QB"...

Won't the fact that his statistics show him to be a Top 5 guy allow you to say, "man, I just had in incredible QB"?

The NFL Pro Bowl, imho, is the biggest waste of time in sports, and there are many in football that agree.

While a nice idea, I don't think the development that would be required to include such an idea is warranted. Again, just my opinion.

If there were a pro-bowl in FOF (which, personally, I think would be cool), I would not want it to lead to injuries.

I think that I put it on the list of features that would be cool, but probably not worth the time that it would take to implement.

I could just see my franchise QB tear his tricept, be out for all of next year and when he's injury is done, he is about as effective as Rich Gannon

I am not at all interested in the Pro Bowl being played out. I do see merit in expanding the All-Pro list enough to simulate Pro Bowl selections.

I like the idea of a Pro Bowl, but it's pretty low on my list of things I'd like to see added.

Well, one may like it or not . The fact remains : why does this have to be an "idea of implementation" now ?
Fact is, the Pro Bowl is part of the NFL Schedule and since FOF emulates every phases of it (Pre-Season, Season, SuperBowl, FA, Draft, FA again, Training Camp) why no Pro Bowl already ??

because it sucks and all real football fans hate it.

I think Jim has said in the past that he thought (like many others posted above) the pro bowl was a meaningless game and preferred just having an all-pro team.

Because unlike the players who grudgingly play in the Pro-Bowl, the NFL didn't offer Jim a trip to Hawaii, so he didn't think it was worth his time and effort.

Well I'd be "interested" in it but I agree that the IMPORTANT thing is the Pro Bowl selections, not the game in itself.
If we could have that someday, it'd be great.

1. Customized leagues, conferences, divisions.

2. Editable names of bowl game, league, conferences, division and city names and data.
