Eerikki Silpiö (17223299)
29 years, inadequate form, healthy
A nasty fellow who is calm and dishonest.
Has weak experiencep and poor leadership abilities.

Nationality: Suomi
Assessed value: 99 000 US$
Wage: 980 US$/week
Owner: FC Shure
Warnings: 1

Stamina: inadequate Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: poor Passing: passable
Winger: inadequate Defending: weak
Scoring: solid Set Pieces: solid

He'll put up 3 stars in passable form and 3.5 in solid/excellent

------------------------------------

I think this is a great deal for me. His age is a bit of a factor but I only want him for about 5-7 league games and then I'm selling some trainees to get excellent/formidable strikers.

Opinions?

I like it. I have a lot of older players on my team too. It is a risk with some where they are always potentially one injury away from being finished, but I'e never had this happen to me (knock on wood.)

Wow. Nice player! :)

I don't really think age is too big a factor. I mean, yeah, he's 29 - going on 30 - but he's likely to continue to be productive for another while. The combination of scoring and passing is nice and the addition of the set piece is very, very nice.

If you're having major buyer's remorse moment and really want to nitpick, you can maybe say that his personality may lead to cards and eventual suspension. But, y'know, that's if you're real desperate for something to nitpick with.

The price was decent. I like the experience. I don't like his age. I'm very leary of scorers as they age. From everything I've read, they can take ratings hits much earlier on than other positios (as I'm sure we all have read). Having said that, $127k isn't a huge amount to sink, and you may get 2-3 seasons from him before you ever see a hit.

If it was $127k that was very dear to you, and you'refloating around in debt, than I'd really cross your fingers and hope for the best. If you're doing fine financially, I say it was worth a flyer.

For $10k more I bought a 19yr old with inad passing & solid set pieces, but he's crap on the exp. I, however, fear ratings hits and can live with a guy getting experience for a season or two. (I'm in a V series that I and another team will easily dominate)

In most games I would agree with that approach, but I just have no faith that a guy on my team for 2-3 will actually gain noticeable experience. My starting GK is still disastrous XP and has been for the past season.

Scoring drops the fastest (at least from everything I have heard), but for only 127K there is no real risk. His personality shouldn't generate too many cards. Calm is neutral, and dishonest is only one below. I have several guys like that who never picked up enough to get suspended.

I'd like to point out I only need this guy for half a season so I'm not too worried about the injury bug. Once a couple of old trainees pop I'll be in the market for a much improved front line.
