Both wwe.com & 1wrestling.com are reporting the death of 30 year old Michael Lockwood, better known to wrestling fans as Crash Holly.

Prior to his WWF work as a Holly cousin, he appeared on the indy scene as Erin O'Grady.

Nothing yet on cause of death. 1wrestling said he was believed to have recently celebrated his 30th birthday.

Whoa. That's really young, even for a wrestler.

RIP Crash!!

PS - I hope all these recent deaths wake the current generation of warestlers up... so in 10 years we don't have another round of young people dieing before their time!!!

Sigh, this has not been a good year for wrestling.

RIP Crash, we'll miss you and your "Super Heavyweight" antics.

Crash was the innovator of the 24-7 Hardcore Title rule, and will mostly be remembered for that.

He was a hardcore partyer and that apparently led to his WWE release, for fear of exactly this, something self-destructive.

(nothing obvious, but the details that have come out lead me to suspect the cocktail of alcohol and drugs led to his death)

I read yesterday (forget the source) that he vomitted in his sleep after a night of drinking and that led to his death (he was found at Stevie Richards' house).

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

by Dave Meltzer [email protected]

Ray "Big Bossman" Traylor passed away suddenly at his home tonight. Traylor, who was 42, got his start as Jim Cornette's bodyguard Big Bubba Rogers in 1986 after he left his job as a prison guard in Marietta, GA.

After leaving Crockett promotions over pay, his real life job became is gimmick as the Big Bossman, the evil prison guard, who had a big run with Hulk Hogan.

He was also a major star with All Japan Pro Wrestling as Big Bubba in the 90s, before returning to the WWF in recent years.

At this point his death is a mystery. He had not been complaining of feeling bad, other than a bad knee. His wife found him in a room tonight and he wasn't breathing. Paramedica were unable to revive him.

This just sucks :(

Sad indeed. He was a very underated worker. I remember watching him beat OMG for the UWF title back in the mid 80's and marking out big time. I always thought he added alot to the NWA Midnight Express/R&R Express feud. Never really like the Bossman gimmick after his initial run in the WWF but I always appreciated his ability for his size. And man, taking a superplex off of the top of a cage from Hogan, at his size, man.

I can't believe Bossman was only 42. Seemed like he was around forever.

Good point, now that i think about it, he must have been around 22-23 when he started, he seemed much older.
