With weapons drawn, it seems. I doubt all the details came to light in the article here, but just from the surface details, I'm more than a little concerned here.
Anybody have any details that might shed better light on the matter?
Isn't this why there are drug tests?

You have to register (free) but here's the most local version of the story I can find, from the nearby Charleston, SC daily.

AFAIC, the video surveillance established probable cause. And I'd rather have a few unnerved kids than a dead cop who wasn't fully prepared for a potential threat. And anybody who thinks there isn't a reasonable chance of encountering an armed suspect in a school is being naive IMO.

And despite all of this, drug use and drug demand is not likely to be changed very much. Tax dollars well spent.

There was another report that quoted the principle as saying, “I’m sure it was an inconvenience to those individuals who were on that hallway. But I think there’s a valuable experience there.”
yeah, having a trigger-happy cop sticking a loaded gun in a child's face is an extremely valuable experience that all children should have the benefit of enjoying.
All I can say is I hope the kids use the money they win in the lawsuits to go to college.

I hope they use it for drugs.
