While looking on the market for 17 year old trainiees I was wondering what should i be looking for talent wise, based on the amount of owners per country. For all large countries 3,000+ I would assume only week 1 & 2 solids have a real chance at being future U-20 material, but what about the smaller countries?
If a country has a population below 400 would a week 1 passable trained with a solid coach work? Or in very small countries with less than 100 would an inadequate ever have a shot at making the squad? I know population is not the only thing determining the U-20 squad but it gives you a pretty good idea.... Maybe lytic can help me out with this question, would a week 1 inadequate (a high inadequate) trained properly ever have a chance at making the SK U-20 squad?

Specifying what type of trainees might help a bit on this.

A week 1 high inad *could* make a squad... probably no longer in South Korea, but maybe Pakistan or Vietnam. South Korea now has excellent Youth Squads and can usually get a few solids out early.

Hmm...only 4 17-yo listed in SK and none better than inad. in a primary skill? Are they just not being listed? Or did SK YP's not do well this week?

Well it's really tough... they got a week 1 17 inad PM and defender. They are truly fence sitters... They have the youth Squads and nearly double the people from 2-3 seasons ago. They *could* make the squad, but I wouldn't put too much money on them. If I see a for sure thing, I'll spill it out here... since you guys asked for it.

That's low inad though... so I wouldn't spend too much on him.
EDIT: spelling!

Yeah, he's probably 4 weeks away from passable, so I'd guess they'll be enough passable and solid pulls in the next few weeks to pass him by for U-20 consideration, but you'd know way better than I.

2 seasons ago we kept pulling defenders and wouldn't hit a keeper, or too many forwards. Our current keeper was pulled low inad, I think.

If you ever have a GK pulled and listed, let me know. I'd be glad to buy and train a U-20 South Korean, even if I find one from another country soon.
