I love TCY but the recruiting part is frustraing to me because there are so many options that I really have no idea where to begin. I've built my Boise State prestiege to 91 so I'd think I'd be able to do pretty well with recruiting but I'm not. Is there a former post on recruiting or does anyone have any good tips on how they do it....what you look for, how you prioritize, etc..
Thanks!

Russ,
I think this thread (http://dynamic2.gamespy.com/~fof/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11063&highlight=recruiting) has some pretty good starting information. Darkiller was basically also wondering where to start, and myself and others responded with our thoughts on recruiting.

Thanks. Do you have a link to the thread or the name so I can search for it?

Click on where it says "this thread". The different colored text means that it's a link...

Sorry, I'm color blind and they looked the same....I can't tell if it's a link unless it is a totally different color. Thanks again though!

If you have the best scouts in the country why don't they just do a great job recruiting for you if you let them? Why is your recruiting score horribly low if your great scouts do their job? Anyone know?

Anyone know? Depends on how good a senior class you graduate. The recruiting score compares the potential of your incoming freshman class to the ratings of your outgoing senior class. Once I build a very strong team, I rarely get an extremely high recruiting score.

That explains a lot. I never knew that.

Dola--
Note that I broke 90 in each of the first 8 seasons, then never did it again, despite having top-notch classes.

But what I mean is why do those scouts recruit such scrubs? Why don't they ever land big time guys?

I have been thinking on letting my scouts to recruit, that way i can only practice gameplans and advance fast during the season so i can have a good amount of drafts to import at FOF2k4.
I suposse that the better scouts you have the better prospects they will recruit right? or is a "hidden" in game AI that recruits them no mather how good are your scouts? Anyway i think this could be a new chalenge to TCY as you will be limited to the AI recruits so you will be in same conditions than the computer teams.
