Ok, I trained Stamina last week to pump up my young PM trainees' Stamina. All but one of them (the best one, sadly) are at acceptable stamina now. So should I give in and switch to Set Pieces (my original plan) this week? Or should I go one more week of Stamina to hopefully propel my trainee to better stamina? Here's what I'm looking at -
Starting IM Stamina -
Excellent/Formidable/Passable
Trainee Stamina -
Weak/Excellent/Excellent/Excellent (Winger)/Excellent (Winger)
Starters' Form -
3 Solid
3 Pass
3 Inad
2 Weak

I did my stamina training last week, and receive very good results. This week it's set pieces, then back to regular training. Since my first league match is a toughie, which sucks, I might delay going back to regular training, and do another secondary skill.
EDIT: toughy to toughie

Bump...
No help? I think I'm going to go with Stamina again. I think the potential long-term benefits of one or two more levels of stamina for both Nava (Passable) and Sever (Weak) are greater than the danger of form dropping...

Vince, what's upside do you see in the guys with weak and passable stamina. They are basically the only two you could see improve and if they are part of your long term plans, say to take over starting duty in the midfield for your team, then I'd say do it. If you kind of only want to train them to an insane level to sell them off, then I'd say got with set pieces...

Good point FM. Here are the two players:
Casey Nava (Unpredictable)
20 yo
Solid PM (more than halfway to the next level)
Passable Stamina
Weak Passing
I'll probably sell him as soon as he pops to Excellent...he was a youth pull, and his Unpredictable specialty along with Age are not things I enjoy.
Alan Sever
18 yo
Solid PM (has had 6 weeks of IM training, unsure of the level he was at when I got him, however)
Poor Passing/Defending
Weak Stamina
Sever I intend to hold on to for at least this entire season, if not some of next season as well. His secondaries could be better, but as a 17 yo solid last year, 100,000 was too much a bargain to pass up.

Well if he is going to be on your team for another offseason then why not skip stamina until then.

So Nava isn't really important in the long term, right? Don't worry about his stamina then.
That leaves us with Sever. do you see him as a future starter on your team, somebody you may want to train until he's 20 or 21 to then keep on as a starter? If so, stamina training may be worth it, if not, meaning if you see him only has a bargain that you could sell back as soon as he hits formidable, then I wouldn't care about stamina right now. I'd wait until the next offseason... Just my opinion...
