Virus Help

A friend of mine has some link in her AIM profile to "talkstocks.net" which she can't get out of her profile... when I clicked it and followed the links (stupid me not knowing) it downloaded all sorts of spyware, porn, etc... you know the deal... it seemed to have a lot from "sqwire" and lycos and a couple of other things I don't remember... does anyone know anything about this, or how i can fix it for her?

I told her to do that (that's what I use) and she said it didn't seem to work.

adaware by lavasoft is another good free program that might solve this.

Did you try the removal instructions posted on the talkstocks.net page?

No i didn't, I couldn't tell if they were just further virus stuff or not.

Do you think it's probably actually a removal program?

I don't know. It downloads some type od javascript, but I don't know enough to be able to tell what it is trying to do.

Ok, well I found at another virus help website that those instructions do work... hopefully it does... thanks for your help.
