This just happened to me:

The second game of the season, i'm the Miami GM, after a close match vs the Jets this is the last 24 seconds of the game when i (Miami) was leading 14 - 10:

Possession to New York.

1-10-MIA23 (00:24) NYK 16 Testaverde pass completed to 82 Swayne for 9 yards.
Tackled by MIA 31 Marion, assisted by MIA 27 Buckley.

NYK called time out.

2-01-MIA14 (00:18) NYK 16 Testaverde pass fell incomplete, intended for 81 Conway.
MIA 24 Knight defended the pass.
NYK 28 Martin was injured on the play.
He should be able to remain in the game

3-01-MIA14 (00:13) NYK 16 Testaverde scrambled for 3 yards.
Tackled by MIA 21 Fletcher.

NYK called time out.

1-10-MIA11 (00:07) NYK 16 Testaverde pass completed to 81 Conway for 11 yards and a touchdown!
Extra point by NYK 6 Brien was good.

This gave me a big deception that made me shout at the computer monitor and throw the mouse vs the table. (it's 4 am in Spain now, so figure how happy must be my neighbour after this) then i called my play again with only 2 seconds to the end of the game.....

Score: New York 17, Miami 14.
NYK 6 Brien kicked off 54 yards from the NYK30.
MIA 84 Chambers returned the ball 84 yards for a touchdown!
Extra point by MIA 10 Mare was good.

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i couldn't believe it, we won the game in the last 2 seconds!!! at first i was near of having heart attack, then i started to shout and dance around.

This game should include a tag, could damage your health and your relationships with the neighbours.

Hah! That's awesome! What a way to win one!

I've had things like that happen a few times to me, unfortunately I always come out the loser!

This happened to me with TCY the last time I played. My team blew it vs an inferior opponent, then did the same thing to win. I danced around for quite a while :-)

How about this:

Divisional Playoff game, we join the game with 1:11 left in the 4th, first and goal from the 7, down 17-10. I score on 3rd down, decide I don't want overtime and go for the win...

3-07-SFO07 (00:14) MIN 16 Silk pass completed to 85 Sprehe for 7 yards and a touchdown!
Conversion Attempt: MIN 32 Mitchell run succeeded.

Woohoo! Vikings win 18-17. And if that wasn't enough suspense, how about the very next game, late in the conference final, I'm up 24-17 on Tampa. They're driving and if they can score a TD, they can force overtime:

3-14-MIN14 (00:36) TBY 12 Caulfield pass completed to 87 Kennedy for 14 yards and a touchdown!

Looks like what I'd tried to avoid last game is going to happen this week, all they need to do is hit the extra point to avoid overtime...

Extra point by TBY 19 Bailie was missed.

Whew! Tampa managed to get the onside kick with :26 seconds left, but after 2 imcompletions and a sack, the game was over.

I then go on to beat Cleveland 31-25 in Madison to win the first ever league championship. :)
