I notice if I come out in single back formations with 4 recievers on 1st down, normal situations, the computer shows a 4-3. This should mean LBs covering WRs right?

Seems too easy though.....

Could be zone coverage or one or both safeties could man up if it's pure man coverage.

DISCLAIMER: I am not an expert, simply a fan of the games, football and FOF itself... ;)

With that kind of spread out formation, wouldn't that leave the QB with little pass protection (only one RB, no TE)? If the preesure is kinda good with the defensive front four, the WR will have to get open in a hurry, probably leaving one or two of them running some very short routes, probably covered by the backers, leaving the outside or longer routes covered by the DBs... Am I making any kind of sense here?

edit: add a smiley ;)

Yeah, there certainly would be protection problems. But obviously offenses have figured out ways to beat a 4-3 with a 4WR set, otherwise there would be no such thing as a nickel or dime package.

I don't know, just a thought...

So you're asking your question and then picking apart the answers that you are given? Just what answer are you looking for?

Obviously defenses have figured out ways to beat 5 offensive linemen with a pash rush as well, otherwise there would be no such thing as max protect. Just what is your point and why don't you just come out and say it instead of hiding behind questions?

Dam, I told myself I would remain calm tonight. ;) I had to deal with the same type of stuff at work today. Stupid users asking questions that they had already made up there mind on the only answer they would accept (If you want that feature in the application ask for it, don't dance around the issue). ... Uh, sorry, you will now return to your normal thread viewing....
