Oh what a wonderfull week.

Romanowski testing positive for steroids

Rudy Johnson firmly fixing Dillon's butt to the bench with another great performance

and the Malcontent Hater Award of the Year goes to:

McKay for putting MeShawn on the inactive list for the rest of the season!

Now if only we could find a way to get Owens, Irvin, and Sanders there. . .

Seriously though, huge kudos to McKay for taking such a bold step and affirming that the TEAM is the most important part of any football franchise.

I'm also happy that McKay benched MeShawn, and I partied with MeShawn and 20,000 others at USC in 1996. But, don't give McKay the award for best move of the year, because he waited until Tampa's year was over for making this move. This is BS. If Keyshawn has been missing team meetings and practices all year, why wasn't he disciplined before the team's season was over?

I think, and this is just off the top of my head, that he was waiting for Jerovicous (sp) to get back before he made the move.

Plus, if he pulled the plug too soon on him, he'd be accused of not having faith in the team, or giving MeShawn a chance. Sitting there in his office, he had to just hope thngs got better with him. As much $$ as is tied up in him, I will cut him huge slack for waiting it out. Hell, I'm stunned by the move, but I've become a McKay fan for him doing it.

On a similar note, I'm still a Casserly fan for his stacking of the draft picks before Snyder took over in WAS.
