If I wanted to use Shorty's 1965 OPU file and quick sim to 2003, who would sign FA for my team during the Free Agency period?
Am I missing a Quick Sim option somewhere?
There's no quick sim option.

So, then who signs the FA for the human team?

Just 'Skip All Remaining Stages'. The AI will fill in your roster automatically.

...with crap. This is something you just can't do properly in FOF, IMO. It's not like OOTP, where you can jump in and out of a league. You have to take a team, and you either play them, or they deteriorate in front of your eyes while you let the computer do everything. As far as I undertstand it, the computer does not participate in either free agency period "for you," it will draft for you and then pick from what's left after the 2nd free agency period to fill your roster.
Less than ideal - and I've actually run into problems trying to "quick sim" ahead where it won't give me enough options for new teams to move to, because of my original team's horrid performance. If Jim would just make the game like OOTP in this respect, I'd almost forget about league customization - just give me the ability to sim the league until 2020 and then pick my team, and I'd be fine.

Although not quite perfect, I have been able to come close to simulating this in the new version with the Multi Player option. Just start with all the teams as computer controled, and add yourself into the league later. You are stuck with a multi-player game but at least all the teams played up (or down) to their potential leading up to where you take over.

Thanks, Ksyrup. That is exactly how I thought things would work.
