I got him for 310K...was he worth it?!?!
I can figure out strikers, but I'm not sure...about middies, seems like I still got him cheap but his salary is going to kill me, ick...

Nice buy! Don't forget to put him next to your best offensive winger to optimize the offense on that side. Too bad that stamina isn't excellent, though.

Thanks Daed, I needed a little positive reinforcement since I'm now over 200k in debt...since I play the 3-4-3, there is only one side...
Should I play AOW or AIM, my defenders lack decent passing skills for a counterattack, though I could play a solid passing/inadeuqate defender back there...I believe I also have a passable/inadequate defender...
Main point is that I now have a quality midfielder to compliment Amoudry (solid middie with inadeuqate passing/defense), Delay (Passable middie with passable passing/defense), I also have that Welsh winger Farr (solid winger/passable midfield) and after the cup will try the other winger (passable winger/solid midfield) but he's at poor form...I also have a passable PM/passable wing (weak passing)offensive middie
For a counter attack, could I play a 3-4-3 (with two wingers) and be able to get the boost? I could play Amoudry and Claude at normal/offensive with Delay (passable defense, passing) and Hey-You (inadequate defense/solid passing) at CD, with a decent wingback (Noe, Stark, Dunn)...
Thanks for your input...it's an exciting acquistion after a terrible 3-0 loss...

Well for all his ability I can handle have a solid stamina guy...besides I'm in v.56 (toughest div) and I desperately needed a quality middie (especially offensive) to bolster my offense, I felt that I wasn't getting the ball to my strikers (Alverez is an excellent/passable forward, Grewar is a solid (high)/poor forward, Hey-You is a passable/solid striker) I didn't feel I was getting the ball to them...

then by all means it was a good buy. I'm just a bit of a stickler for getting guys with less than excellent stamina. It saves me time in the offseason that would otherwise be spent training stamina

I would've much preferred to have been able to do set piece this past offseason and I REALLY could've done without the form hit. (Blech.) But for someone to come in to add some offense, this guy isn't a bad addition.

And pray for a REAL good Cup run. :DShould I play AOW or AIM, my defenders lack decent passing skills for a counterattack, though I could play a solid passing/inadeuqate defender back there...I believe I also have a passable/inadequate defender...Your team have a lot of overall passing so AoW/AiM are possibilities. If you're playing 3-4-3, your central attack will be strongest so AiM is a definite possibility. Will your wing defense be strong enough?Main point is that I now have a quality midfielder to compliment Amoudry (solid middie with inadeuqate passing/defense), Delay (Passable middie with passable passing/defense), I also have that Welsh winger Farr (solid winger/passable midfield) and after the cup will try the other winger (passable winger/solid midfield) but he's at poor form...I also have a passable PM/passable wing (weak passing)offensive middieI'd play Karetu and Delay in the regular inner midfield slots. If you really want bonus offense, you could try playing them offensive (or you could do just Karetu offensive on the same side as Farr). With their defense though (especially Delay), playing them normal would definitely be a consideration for me. You may also need to upgrade either Delay or Amoudry to an excellent soon. For a counter attack, could I play a 3-4-3 (with two wingers) and be able to get the boost? I could play Amoudry and Claude at normal/offensive with Delay (passable defense, passing) and Hey-You (inadequate defense/solid passing) at CD, with a decent wingback (Noe, Stark, Dunn)...The problem with a straight 3-4-3 is 1) with only 3 defenders, your defense will be left thin while the other team has the ball a lot, 2) with only 3 defenders, there are only three defenders contributing to the counter-attack ratings although yours have very good passing, 3) counter-attack gives you an automatic 10% penalty which will really hurt with only 2 solids in midfield, even with Farr's help.
