He is now hospitalized.. evidentally self inflicted knife wound...
I cant begin to tell you how bad of a fantasy pick he was for me in the draft this year.

Are we talking about the real William Green? or Demitrius Underwood (knife reference).
The reason I ask is because I was just dealing with Green in my FOF career. No, he was not injured because of a knife but he was suspended for drugs.

Wow, first Keyshawn and now William Green. A lot of high profile cuts this week.

Demitrius Underwood reference story.
Kenny Clark show's up to training camp wearing camouflage pants. One of the coaches (don't remember who) says to him something like, "You do remember what happened to the last guy who wore pants like that, don't you?"

At least he's played this year (Michael Vick!). More than a game, anyway (Kurt Warner!).

the knife is way, way, way down on my list of "Ways to Off Myself"

Well, aren't there quite a few suicide studies out there. Basically, the weapon of choice for girls is knife because it's not very effective and suicide is typically "a cry for help". Versus guys who a lot more often when the commit suicide just want to end it so they chose something more, uh, final and painless, like a bullet to the head.
That said, I'm not sure how bright our boy William is- if he stabbed himself in the side, he's either really dumb or was doing something other than committing suicide (drug induced, perhaps).

Like everybody here has never gone to answer the phone, but it turns out it's actually a knife, and instead of putting it up to your ear you poke yourself in the gut with it a couple times.

Damn, just my luck I have William Green AND Keyshawn Johnson on my fantasy team, I'm 5-6 in a head-to-head league and battling for the final playoff spot, but now things look grim.

I guess this story has changed some in the past few hours:
Green, currently under suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse program, was cut after an incident with ``domestic overtones'', team president Carmen Policy said.
Apparently this wasn't a self-inflicted wound, rather he got in a fight with the missus.

Anyone care to take a guess on when we'll see William Green on an NFL field next?

Yeah, I picked him in the third round. MOTHER!!!
Thankfully my running game is now working Faulk and Rudi so it is all good at present.
Picked him up as 1st overall pick last year in my keepe league (Portis was picked at 7)....
Thank you William !

All seriousness of Green's situation aside, this thread really had me laughing my ass off, especially the Jeff Kent references. :)

Thank you William ! He's on the #1 ranked team in our fantasy league, together with Jeremy Shockey, Jimmy Smith and Kevin Johnson. Only Keyshawn Johnson and the Oakland THGers are still missing...

a guy has obvious troubles and problems and people are whining about him being on their fantasy team. what a wonderful perspective on the world to have.

As the starting RB for the Browns opening day next season.
Neither the NFL nor the Browns have a firm disciplinary code against getting stabbed.

Nah, that's what getting hazed in the locker room is for.
So does getting stabbed by your fiance mean the wedding is off?

I don't see why not, unless you want to be the next Fred Lane.

NFL players should understand their responsibility, they should know millions of Americans have fantasy teams, some even play for money and in the end, suspension of player can really hurt a fantasy team and make a good team turn into the New Orleans Saints and waste a playoff spot after being in the race until 2/3rd of the season.
For your convenience, you can imaginairy add a rolleyes smily to this reply...
